The cutest little spot on coxwell with the most amazing chicken sandwiches! The best chicken sandwich i’ve had in Toronto by far. Two large pieces of tender fried chicken with their signature sauce, pickles, and lettuce, this sandwich can’t be beat!!

I went their with my friend for dinner today and every bite was worthit The service is soo good The lady at the front was really nice I even got a candy

Great chicken sandwiches weather you get spicy or not would recommend. Some of the best I've had if not the best. Only gripe not a lot of seating, as a result would recommend picking up take out

Service is terrible, almost always. I love the food & location but most of the servers are just really really bad. I don't know if they are just over worked, burnt out or just don’t have the sense of urgency needed to work in a restaurant. I’ve either been forgotten about all together or not seen for at minimum 20 minutes. 1. Last summer for example, my friend and i went for breakfast the server didnt see us for 30 minutes and then by the time she got to our table, tells us we missed the breakfast time… so we had to leave and go elsewhere for breakfast. 2. This past fall, i went with another friend, server totally forgot about us. We sat there for 30 minutes. I had to go OUTSIDE to get her while she was taking a break on the back deck. I asked if she was okay cause I felt like she was under the influence. Luckily we got a different server and she was lovely. 3. So she went again today. & I could tell the server was overwhelmed with her 4 tables of 2…. She was huffing, and saying “everyone is coming in at the same time”. So I figured I’d help the girl out and go elsewhere, cause I didn’t want to overwhelm her more. She said “okay perfect” when we said we can go elsewhere. Not, a “sorry about that” or “hope to see you again next time” nothing. Do better. Olympic 76 across the street is great though and quarter of the price

I was blown away. I live across town at Queen & Ossington but sometimes head east to the Beaches to walk the dog. My favourite BBQ place isn't open Tuesdays so I just googled "fried chicken near me" and landed here. Never heard of it. Who cares. Had the basic fried chicken sandwich and couldn't find a single thing wrong with it. Hot, spicy but not too spicy, perfect mix of crispy, moist, and tender, and of course a little messy -- but you want that in a fried chicken sandwich. I'll be back. Might have to start alternating this with brisket. ETA: Closer to my hood, I’ve had PG Clucks, Chen Chen, Chica’s, and The Fry. They’re good, but this is better. Now I go out of my way to bring the dog east to the Beaches just so I have an excuse to come here.

EDIT: So, i called them to complaint abt it, the manager said she’d call me if they can give me a replacement. She didn’t call me in 1 hour. I called back and then she said the hole is absolutely normal. It’s from supplier. And that’s how it ended. So, having a hollow in a small burger patty is considered perfect. just take a look at the patty size and the thin slice. That’s what we’re paying for… Ordered 2 chicken sandwiches. Got this cute hollow patty just like a donut inside the burger. Totally unexpected.

Had the buttermilk chicken bites (now they use tenders instead) and nashville hot fries. The chicken tenders were dry and relatively tastless. I would say they are only slightly better than the Costco chicken fingers as Birdies' had a crispier outside and less salt. Pairing them with the truck sauce was the right call. Nashville hot fries was VERY spicy but otherwise pretty bland. I've had nashville hot chicken at several places around town but the heat these frie carry caught me by surprise.

EDIT: Hi Katie, can you remove the review as we are not the business that you visited. Thanks ———- Hi Katie, we are a small takeout fried chicken shop in Toronto and we do not have any table service or servers. I believe you meant to review a different business. After a quick search, I believe you meant to review a place called Birdy’s in Belleville, Ontario.

Tahnks for your review, Sol! We are so happy you enjoyed the chicken sandwich! (Although a brisket sandwich also sounds amazing)
