I live in the US and have bought from Outer Layer several times online. Their customer service is amazing, and their items are great! It’s one of my favorite shops to find greeting cards & gifts. I highly recommend them!

I called in advance and the staffs confirmed that gift-wrapping service was available. However, when I came to the store, they refused to wrap my gift. My time was wasted. One of the staffs kept mentioning I could buy a bag so that the gift would not necessarily be wrapped, after all remaining staffs understood I wanted my gift wrapped. It is hard for me to get her logic.

We deserve this ⭐️ and we apologize! We don't have time to wrap gifts not purchased at the store in the last few days before Christmas but it sounds like you were misinformed over the phone. And then not treated very nicely when you came in. There's no excuse for bad behaviour, but we're definitely overwhelmed and exhausted by that point and it sounds like it showed

SUCH a great store! Trusted to find that special gift for someone or myself! in their awesome collection. Need the perfect greeting card?... Outer Layer will have it and a few more you can't pass up. Can't wait to peruse the holiday ornaments... always a hit with family & friends! A favourite neighbour store in the heart of Queen St. W.

I’ve never actually visited Outer Layer in person but found their website this holiday season with a quick Google search. Their stuff is great! I got 7 gifts off my list, all in one shot, and their delivery service with Mile1 is very efficient - a great way to avoid all that packaging associated with other deliveries, as well as keeping things local. I’ll definitely be shopping there in person one day.

Best place in the city for shopping for cards or gifts. Having trouble figuring out what to get your cool aunt and the hard to buy for friend - head to the Outer Layer, there is literally something there that will please everyone!

There are so many Demeter colognes here! I spent about 15 minutes going through them all and the staff didn't mind at all (I eventually bought Salt Air). They also have a ton of cute knick knacks and jewelry. It's a great place for buying gifts.
