I go to this gym 5-7 times a week. In the last few months they have cut some of the classes though, which is too bad. It would be nice if they could fill some of those time slots with instructors, especially the early AM slots, which are a great option before work. Seems like Goodlife as a whole is having a hard time maintaining their previous standard with regard to class availability, variety, and quality of instructor. Again, too bad as this is really the key differentiator between them and some of the smaller competitors.Maintenance is okay - the ergo machines are often broken, as are many of the bikes in the spin studio. Cleanliness of the change rooms has improved, compared to this time last year. Likewise, the studio floor isn't as nasty as it once was - hated doing push-ups on a floor full of grit and hair.

Totally crowded BEYOND BELIEF.. Jesus Christ. They should cap the number of members in this gym, its ridiculous. I tried going in different times to avoid the crowd, YET IT IS STILL CROWDED EVEN AT 11 to 2 in the night. They are still signing up people regardless of how packed it already is. The government should regulate the gyms because this is not cheap either. I came home a few times because I was positive I wouldn't be able to complete a meaningful workout in this gym. It is bad enough already, to add fire to that, the personal trainers, occupy most of the machines. The staff working in the night, what an awkward person, makes it even awkward to go to this gym because we now have to deal with her.

Nightmare gym. Its too small for the number of patrons. The layout is stupid. And the staff members are consistently rude. Just NO. Good only for cardio. If that.

This place is a joke. It's over crowded beyond belief. There's more people than there are exercise machines/stations. It's a joke. But I totally understand. I imagine they need to pack in as many people as possible to pay for the 40 staff members they have working at any given time "just hanging out". Like maybe they could take a bit of time to organize the weights that the average gym goer is too incompetent to put away properly. But that's just an idea.

The Liberty Village location can get crowded but there is a reason why. It is hands down the best GoodLife location I have been to in downtown Toronto. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Everyone from the clientele to the Personal Trainers and even Management are very cool and down to earth. There are things lacking at this location such as a lack of power racks and updated Hammer Strength machines but every GoodLife location I have been to has its own set of challenges. It is the layout of the gym, the clientele, the positive environment and especially the level of customer service I receive that keep me coming back.
