One Academy Leslieville has some talented coaches and a dedicated community, but these positives are consistently overshadowed by poor leadership from ownership and management. There’s a long-standing pattern of unprofessional conduct and mishandled situations that reflect a lack of accountability at the top. Owner and coach Jesse Bruce has repeatedly been associated with inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour, including taking out personal frustrations through direct messages on social media rather than addressing matters responsibly. Despite this ongoing pattern, the management team have continually enabled the behaviour instead of taking meaningful action. It’s unfortunate, because the gym has potential and a loyal member base. But until leadership at One Academy chooses to prioritize professionalism, respect, and accountability, it will continue to fall short of the strong community it claims to represent.

Found One Academy during the pandemic when they were doing outdoor classes, and never left! Amazing place to train with great instructors and a variety of classes, including both endurance and strength training. Positive vibes and a great sense of community also. Highly recommended!
The workouts are incredible. Its like real hyrox training. I like how the big 3 powerlifts are in the classes; most gyms wont have enough space for 6 bench presses but this place does
If you ever want to build your cardio, this is the place to be. Amazing community, beautiful facility, as-well a tasteful selection of protein drinks. I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to reorganize their routine in the morning, while being challenged by their peers.
I have been a member at One Academy Leslieville for almost 4 years. I would consider this as my second home. The community here is so strong and welcoming. Programming is second to none. No matter your fitness level, the exercises can easily be modified to your level. I've hit multiple PRs in the last 4 years and also had to modify when I'm recovering from injuries. There's something for everyone. You know it's a special place when people show up at 5:15am to workout daily. Shout out to my sunrise crew :) Much love for this place and the team here.

Now, after almost a year, we are not only still members but are also continuously evolving, both in strength and endurance. A colossal thank you goes to their revolutionary 'hiflux' program which keeps us engaged and perpetually challenged. We were impressed from day one, but after these months, it's evident that the gym's coaches are its backbone. They are nothing short of phenomenal – always inclusive, ever approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable. With their guidance, we've tapped into potentials we never knew we had. The staff too are a league apart, always at hand to assist, ensuring that our gym experience is nothing short of impeccable. Beyond just the workouts, the community spirit at One Academy is invigorating. They have an uncanny ability to make fitness feel like a fun group activity rather than a chore. This sense of camaraderie is exemplified in the fantastic parties they throw for members. We had a blast at the holiday party last November - our first-ever gym party, and it was truly lit! ? While we're avid fans of the 7:45am class, owing to how seamlessly it fits into our daily routine, we've occasionally ventured into the 7pm slot. Regardless of the time, what remains consistent is the dynamism of the workouts and the positivity radiating throughout the gym. To sum it up, One Academy isn't just a place to sweat it out. It's where you challenge your boundaries, celebrate your victories (big or small), and build lasting relationships. For those with packed schedules seeking that golden hour to rejuvenate, this gym is a sanctuary. We've grown stronger, more fit, and found a space to not just exercise but also socialize.
