I must give Henry, master hair stylist at Calia Hair, a big shout out. Thank you so much with gratitude for your master hair cutting skills and heartfelt act of kindness. I had a disastrous hair cut from another master stylist in a different salon. He is the owner of the salon. My hair was cut up and disproportionate beyond repair, at least I thought it was beyond repair. I went to a salon in the neighborhood the next day and the stylist was afraid to do anything as her and her manager said my hair was "ruined". They cut a tiny bit off as they feared to do anything, it was that bad, and sent me on my way. I did some surfing and asked Google for outstanding hairstylists in my neighbourhood. Calia Hair came up with great AI reviews. I had a window of opening during my work day...and called. Debbie, the receptionist was so understanding and said I had to be there within an hour and Henry had an opening. As the Universe would have it... Henry took the time and his expertise to figure out a solution. And the cherry on top was that he didn't charge me a cent as he felt I've been through enough. ???. What a sweetheart angel from heaven. I am forever grateful as I have a whole week of partying for a family celebration. I actually like my short hair. It was quite long before the other salon my butchered cut. I am growing it out for a couple of months and will definitely return to Henry. He is very creative, a patient solution seeker, a life saver, and truly a master at his craft. Thank you sooo much!!!
First haircut with this salon and what a fantastic experience. I had May the senior stylist cut my hair and she really listened to everything I asked. I am so happy with it and I'll be back ? thank you
I met with May for my consultation a few weeks back. We discussed what she would do with my hair including showing me pictures, and what she would do. My concern was my grays, and I wanted it to be blended, I showed her pictures and we agreed on a plan. I attended the session yesterday and she showed me pictures of gray blending, which was highlights all over the hair, beautifully blended. I told her I did not want a stark contrast, hair to be blended seamlessly, and that I did not want blond orange hair and she agreed. She gave extremely blond and highly warm pieces in the front and left the rest of my hair dark brown. Through out the whole process she assured me it would look good and disregarded what I wanted and what I asked for. She did tone it with a darker toner and did not take payment for the service however I’m left with copper with slightly lighter roots just in the very front of my face and gray strands untouched throughout my hair. She also did not evenly toning of all of my hair, where some parts my previous colour had faded. Very disappointing considering she knew what I wanted and she knew my wedding is coming up in 2 weeks. I would encourage her to take the time to listen to her clients instead of doing what she thinks is nice. Update: The owners called me and booked a new session with Anahy. She was lovely and did exactly what I wanted. Really happy with the service.
I LOVE going to Calia Hair Design - Katrina is the absolute best stylist ever!! Anywhere else I've ever been I want to re-do my hair as soon as I get home! Not the case after Katrina has done my hair. The whole experience, from walking through the door to leaving again, is a pampering, professional experience.
Million thanks to Anahy ? I just settled to this neighbourhood couple months ago then I went to Calia Hair randomly and i got appointment with Anahy without even knowing her. I can say she is fantastic!! Blonde hair is always tricky and i was so stressed about it at first, i m very happy with my hair right now ?also everyone is so friendly and incredibly helpful I definitely recommend Calia you ll never disappointed
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I would def recommend to anyone who wants to get their hair styled, cut or even dyed. Went today and my hairdresser did an amazing job + everyone is so friendly! Very happy with my results.
How do you take years off a more mature woman? Send her to Calia Hair under the care of Katrina or any of their most talented stylist. It took me only one time to make the decision that this is the only salon for me. That has been at least three years ago. I no longer have to struggle with the trip of going the Bloor area.
