I’ve been going to Kim Du's salon for over 30 years, and I truly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. He has been there for every big moment in my life, including my wedding day, and makes me feel beautiful and confident every single time I sit in his chair. His talent is unmatched, but what makes him truly special is his kindness, humour, and the genuine friendship we’ve built over the years. Every appointment feels like catching up with an old friend who just happens to be a master stylist. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is the best!
This is not targeted towards the salon but for one of the hairstylists working there that was super unprofessional. I had booked an appointment through Instagram with colorbyjp back in June for an appointment today (Sept 11th) She did not require a deposit and just told me I was booked for Sept 11th at 10am. I put it in my calendar and cleared my entire schedule for today since she said it would take 5-7 hrs. She did not require a deposit nor did she mention that I would need to confirm again the day before. She sends me a dm on Instagram, less than 24hrs before my appointment time and expects me to check and reply, on INSTAGRAM. She notified me at 10pm that if I did not reply she would consider my appointment canceled. I have a toddler and of course I wasn’t able to check until this morning at 7am and told her I would be coming in and I have everything ready for her. She replies an hour later saying my appointment has been canceled and replaced by someone else. I don’t understand how she was able to find someone to come in PAST 10pm yesterday for and appointment this morning at 10am Either way this was super unprofessional and I do not recommend booking with her. I could’ve found someone else and not wait from June to September to get my hair dyed only for my appointment to be canceled last minute without any notices prior to 24hrs. If she had let me know when I booked the appointment that I needed to confirm again the day before then of course I would’ve. Or even implement a deposit system so everything is confirmed.
I’ve been seeing Kim to cut my hair for 16 years and every time I walk out feeling glamourous! His experience and ability to adapt to all hair types is second to none.
I had wasted hundreds of dollars at other salons trying to get my favorite hair color but to no avail. I walked into this salon one day and met Kim and Michelle and made an appointment with Michelle. Well the rest is history. She did a fantastic job and I get compliments wherever I go and I am extremely happy with my hair color. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The place is impeccable and the atmosphere is very friendly and fun.
I have been bringing my entire family to Kim Du for over 22 years. Not only is he a great master hair stylist, he is a very professional and detailed in his craft. We love Kim and Paula. She really is wonderful with color treatments and such a great personality. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
An overall amazing salon! They take such great care of their clients and are incredibly efficient. From the ergonomic chairs for hairwashing, their dyson hairdryers that cut the dry time in half, to how informative they are about any kind of treatment you may be looking to have, Kim Du Salon goes above and beyond in every way possible! Kim has been my go-to for over 10 years and I don't trust anyone else with cutting my hair. Having long hair, I was used to people who would "go crazy" and creatively do their own thing. With Kim, he truly listens to exactly what YOU want. For me, I ask for the "victoria secret" type layers that make the hair light, help add volume and not to mention is crazy low maintenance. On top of that, he makes every customer, new or recurring, feel incredibly special. Thank you Kim for everything!
