I had an amazing experience with Meghan at Lola’s Salon! She understood exactly what I wanted, and the result was even better than I hoped for. After a few not-so-great experiences at other salons, this was my first time at Lola’s, and they’ve definitely gained a loyal client. It’s really hard to find a stylist you truly connect with, but Meghan is incredible. She’s an amazing professional, extremely skilled, attentive to every detail, and on top of that, she’s such a warm and genuinely lovely person to talk to. I’m so happy I found my go-to hairdresser. Highly recommend!
I have never experienced such disappointment at a salon but this one today. Waste of time to commute here, not find any parking and worst not end up having anything done for the day. They ended up doing a consult and hair strand test as I had dye in my hair, to see if the colour I wanted would be achievable and they were hinting it wasn’t going to be, but we still went ahead with it. Strand test showed it wasn’t possible and I accepted it. They were not able to do any kind of hair dying cause my hair was dark and coloured. I accepted that explanation and then was hoping to just then do a grey coverage. Sat there forever as they mentioned someone will come and do my Grey coverage at this point. Many minutes later each person would come and tell me no one is available to do this service as they have no time all of a sudden. I booked a 3 hour hair colour service and now there’s no time? And why was the staff so unsure, telling me someone is coming and then that same person telling me actually there’s no time to even do the grey coverage today. Beyond disappointing. I was even willing to just do a blow out and hair style which would definitely be less than an hour as I’ve done this before at other salons with no issue, but they couldn’t even do that much. They still sent me home with no services to offer. I would not recommend this for anyone in the future to go there for hair services.
I got my haircut today at Lola and I was very pleased with my new look! I appreciate how Jay took the time to listen to what I was looking for and provided excellent client centred service! Thank you!!
I’ve accessed different tiers of stylists at this salon, including senior ones, but overall the experience has been hit or miss. One senior stylist told me she didn’t want to lighten my hair because it was “too dark” and insisted on a patch test which is fair in some cases, but it felt more like hesitation than care. I ended up going to another salon that had no issue working with my hair and actually took the time to get it right. There were also times I had to return because my hair wasn’t done properly the first time. The haircuts themselves are just okay not terrible, but not worth the price either. Think: Top Cuts, but more expensive. As a BIPOC client, I also can’t ignore the fact that I’ve felt uncomfortable at times. Being the only one in the room who looks like me, I’ve gotten strange looks, and it just doesn’t seem like the stylists know how or want to work with my hair texture. There’s a noticeable lack of effort and care when it comes to inclusivity, and it shows.
Wish I could spend every day in that chair getting my hair brushed and cut but unfortunately I have to wait a little while for these luscious locks to grow out a bit more. Brit is a superstar and made this good ol boy feel real purdy

Always amazing. The individual care and skill they put into each style is outstanding and the customer care is so friendly and welcoming. I have been seeing Jay for 15-20 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else
