I had a service performed by Ernesto. It was to clean up layers done at another salon, which somehow I felt were cut a but to short and made my hair limp at the front. He showed such great care and attention and took as little as possible to make it blend a little more so that I could actually wear it down. He didn't even charge me for a full cut at check out, while the previous salon felt disinterested in fixing my issue if I wasn't going to pay another 120. He's truly passionate about making clients happy.
I have been coming to see Krysten and Steuart for years and I absolutely love my colour and hair! I have had my hair blow dried in Montreal and stylists always compliment my hair and ask me who did my color because they are genuinely impressed! I needed a blow dry and both Steuart and Krysten were booked so I went to see Khushi. She did such a phenomenal job! I absolutely love my blow dry! My hair is soft, smooth and perfection! I love coming to studio Fontana! I always leave feeling amazing!
I came in asking for soft, face-framing layers, but ended up with something that looks like a bob sitting on top of long hair - almost like bad extensions. The top layers were cut far shorter than I expected, with no check-in during the process, and now the entire shape feels choppy and disconnected. I had to fix the front of my hair myself! I left saying I liked it in the moment because I felt overwhelmed and wasn’t fully processing what had happened. But once I got home and reviewed it myself, I realized how dramatic the layering really was, specially in the back, and how long it’s going to take to grow this out. It’s extremely upsetting because I’d been growing my hair out for years. For the price, I really expect a more thoughtful approach. If you’re trusting someone with long hair and asking for something subtle, I’d be cautious.
I’m a long term client for good reason. Yes Studio Fontana is a cool space but most importantly, I can count on Francesco and Caroline to take good care of me. Always a great cut, styling and colour, not to mention the great conversations!
I decided to chop off my super long hair and get my first haircut in over 6 years, so I Googled “best hairstylist in Toronto”, and found Ernesto Domanico. He’s known as the best hairstylist in Toronto and all of Canada. When I read that I knew I found my guy. He gave me a Johnny Depp type of shag look that I really like, and I was instantly transformed into a different person. Best haircut I’ve ever got. Great guy, great conversation the entire time, and the rest of the staff at Studio Fontana was very friendly and welcoming. They even gave me water and coffee while I was waiting for Ernesto to finish with the client before me. I loved the atmosphere there. It was a very enjoyable experience for my first haircut in 6 years, and I’ll definitely be going back. If I could give Ernesto 10 stars I would. He’s a rock star stylist!
Ernesto not only fixed my hair, which had been previously ruined by another hairstylist at a different hair studio, but also gave me an elegantly beautiful look with just a haircut. I received many compliments from people at the business event I attended on the same day. He's truly the best hairdresser in town!
