Took more than 10min to get my biryani. On top of that, they microwave the biryani to warm it up. This is during lunch hour rush. The slowest fast food ever.
Charcoal Biryani is my go-to spot in our food court. I’m obsessed with their chicken biryani — it tastes amazing every single time. The prices are also really good for the portion you get, totally worth it. The people who work there are super friendly. The owner, Pankaj, is great, and Yash is usually the one who makes my food and he always gets it right. I even told my colleague to try it and she had the jackfruit biryani and loved it too. Definitely recommend!
Butter chicken and naan were pretty good at a decent price (considering its location in the financial district). I would've liked to have had a larger portion, as the small container amounts to what I would call a child's portion. It would be better if I didn't have to choose between naan and rice, as rice would help bulk up the portion very inexpensively.
I had a veg paner tikka briyani and spicy paneer curry with 2 garlic nann. Everything was flavourful and fragrant. Portion was also good considering the price. Recommended!
I recently tried the Chicken Biriyani at Charcoal Biriyani, and it was an average experience. While the taste was okay—neither particularly good nor bad—it lacked the bold, spicy kick I expected, even though I had ordered the "spicy" version. The flavors were mild and didn’t stand out as much as I hoped. On the positive side, the service was fast, which is great for a quick lunch break in the PATH way below commerce court. However, the portion size was quite small for the price, leaving me a bit unsatisfied. Final Verdict: If you're looking for a quick, decent biriyani without high expectations, this might work. But if you crave authentic spice, generous portions, or standout flavor, you might want to explore other options.
I recently visited Charcoal Biryani at Commerce Court Food Court, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! Their Chicken Biryani was absolutely top-notch, bursting with authentic South Indian flavors that left me craving more. What truly won me over was their Kulcha Chane — perfectly spiced and incredibly satisfying. And if you’re a fan of street-style burgers, their Aloo Tikki Burger is a must-try! It’s flavorful, crispy, and hits all the right notes. Overall, Charcoal Biryani delivers a delicious and memorable culinary experience. I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu! Highly recommended!
An absolutely delicious lunch at Charcoal Biryani in the Commerce Court Food Court. I had the Masala Dosa with soup and raita. Dosa was freshly cooked to order and was crispy and so tasty. The potato mixture inside was perfectly spiced and beautifully complimented the dosa. Soup was hearty and very good. What a wonderful option to have this friendly and fast Indian restaurant serving biryanis and dosas as part of the Commerce Court Food Court. It’s about time. I’ll be back to try the veggie biryani soon!
