Update: I like how they took my feedback, they have improved a lot since then. Really appreciate. Old review: Lady there is very smart, she would put very less chicken in any dish you order. I really love Osmow’s quality and quantity in a similar price.
The staff at this Pita Land are incredibly friendly, courteous and always smiling. Their chicken shawarma salad bowl was super tasty and the baklava box is always a treat I look forward to. The prices are average compared to other restaurants in the food court. I highly recommend visiting this Pita Land if you’re in the area!
This outfit aggressively pushes electronic tipping on kids and students. They should be ashamed. There are tons of other pita/shawarma places nearby, don’t bother with these guys.
the lady working her always upsells!!! will casually try to ask if u want to choose the salad with your shwarma rice and never mentions that it costs extra!!! She did it to me twice!!! reading the other comments, looks like she does this upselling scam with everyone else. she also has an attitude. please look into this matter as it has been happening for awhile now.
I had exact same experience like some others wrt the attempt to overcharge. The lady literally only showed me the large bread and said "you want this one right?" She did not ask or confirm if I would like a small or large but (sure she acted clever) only took out the large one (never showed me the small or gave the option) and started prepping it. I had no idea of this scam. I waited for my order but i don't know why I decided to check reviews of the place online while i waited. And there it was, I saw many others talking about this tactic of hers. I quickly went back to her and she was almost done doing her "large" wrap for me (without asking/confirming). I simply refused to accept the large size because it was unfair. I believe it was her duty to confirm if I wanted Large or small. She replaced it, I will give her that- but I guess, this could have been handled way more professionally. Food was grossly mediocre so I am not going back to this place again only because who would like to be taken for a ride!? Not me.
Charged me tax today but there’s still a GST break. When I asked the lady checking me out if she charged me tax, she said no and ripped the receipt off so I couldn’t see what she charged me! Luckily I get Apple pay notification. There’s no way my bill came up to $18 when what I ordered was $14.99. Beware of this store for the next 2 weeks everyone!!! Great food but I literally just got scammed wow
This place is really a loot. For every bit of sauce or leaf they add is an extra cost. The person charged me for a large roll when I mentioned I need a shawarma. With no mention of size how is a customer supposed to know. Originally the parsley was not extra cost now it's with added cost. Asked them to add one squeeze more sauce and they charged extra. They don't mention it before adding. I request Pita Land officials to look at this and take an action.
