I bought what I thought was a beautiful pair of earrings made of stone and freshwater pearls. What I received was a pair of cheap plastic knockoffs worth about $2. This experience cost me $35. Save your money, at least I can try to prevent someone else from getting scammed.
We took a Movado watch that was not working any longer. We were told by other places to send it to Movado directly as it needed mechanical repairs. We found ASI and they restored the watch to a brand new condition at a much better price than the alternative. So fortunate to have such a gem of a place in our neighborhood.
Terrible experience. Brought an inexpensive automatic timepiece in for a repair, it was running slow. I was to expect a call for an estimate once the technician had reviewed the problem. Instead I receive a call that the work had been completed without my authorization of the cost. The cost was outrageous, exceeding the replacement value of the watch. Further he charged for replacing the metal clasp which was not defective when I took the watch in, and again the replacement of which I did not authorize. The owner would not accept any responsibility for not calling with an estimate. And when I told him the price was unacceptable, he told me if I did not pay, he would put the watch up for sale. The watch has sentimental value so ultimately I paid for the full cost he charged. I will never return to this shop, as I was not treated respectfully or professionally. A simple acknowledgment that an error was made by not providing an estimate and getting authorization of the work, and some reduction of the ridiculous unapproved cost would have gone a long way to remedy an unacceptable situation. Don’t be fooled by the light friendly chatting of the owner. I see from the reviews I am one of many with bad experiences. I find the owner’s responses to the issue experienced by other customers to be quite revealing. He touts the quality of his company, but never address the concerns raised by the customers.
I brought a watch in for repair and was told that it required parts to be ordered from Omega. I got the watch back a few weeks later and opened the case back to find that not only did he not replace any parts, but he also damaged my rotor. When I brought it back to him to discuss it he grabbed the watch and started to violently shake it, which caused further damage. Avoid at all costs.
Terrible experience. Brought a watch in for the glass to be replaced. There was thread left within the watch, the watch was scratched and glue was on it. I brought it back in to have these mistakes be addressed and the polish was taken off the frame of my watch... very disappointed. Will not return.
