We hired Davisville Kitchens for our condo kitchen remodel. They sold us on the fact that they are a one-stop shop and even convinced us to do our flooring with them so that everything could be done seamlessly. This was not the case, and we were often left on our own to manage the contractor (with whom we had multiple issues, which I wont get into for the purpose of this review). We were also placed in awkward situations between Davisville Kitchens and the contractor (who they brought on) over who was responsible for these issues. The work began in late August and we still have appointments with their counter installer in mid-December to address defects. While we had high expectations for Davisville kitchens and overall are happy with our kitchen, I would go elsewhere if I could do it all over again. Considering the price point (over $25K just for cabinetry, counter and backsplash and installation - all contractor work was extra), the experience and quality were sub-par. The main issue has been the lack of QA of work done by their installers, and the months long back and forth filled with awkward conversations over obvious defects (the person we work with at Davisville Kitchens will at first act like they don't see the defect and then shrug it off leaving us to suggest possible solutions), missed appointments, people constantly in our home, messes to clean up after, etc. A key example is that Davisville Kitchens let the electrician decide where to place the light box for the under cabinet lighting. It was placed inside the cabinet under the shelf, requiring a thick piece of wood to be placed on top and drastically reducing the height of our cabinet. It took multiple heated conversations with Davisville Kitchens before they agreed to move the light box behind the cabinet wall - all of which took a couple of hours of work by the contractor and should have been planned for up front. We also had to go back and forth over issues with cabinetry not being aligned, sloppy paint and caulking, toe kick drawers not working, etc etc. the biggest concern is that the base of our new island is splitting at the corner. The cabinetry installer told us that it was likely caused by the weight of the counter when it was installed (separate installer) and there is nothing he can do other than paint over it. Davisville kitchens has shrugged this off and are not offering a resolution. I will let the pictures speak for themselves - if this is the standard you would be ok with for the price point, then by all means Davisville Kitchens is a good choice.
Davisville Kitchens completely renovated our kitchen 5 years ago and it still looks fantastic to this day. The workers were punctual, professional and kept me up to date with the progress of their work. I write this review today because even after 5 years I contacted Jeff at Davisville to do adjustments to the cabinet door and drawer mechanisms to put them in tip top shape before we sold our home. He responded immediately, ordered the some replacement parts and fixed everything this morning. Outstanding service even after all this time. Thanks Jeff!
We worked with Davisville Kitchens with Amanda Rose as our designer to renovate our kitchen last month. We couldn't be happier with the end result! The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Amanda was able to create a design for our small space that added functionality and checked off every item on our wish list. Amanda also went above and beyond and helped me with other design details for our reno outside the scope of our work together. We LOVE our new kitchen and would absolutely recommend Davisville and Amanda to anyone looking!
I hired Davisville kitchens after doing a lot of online research. From the first contact to the finished product they delivered on everything they promised. I worked with my designer Gail Hamilton to come up with a more beautiful, functional kitchen and she was always responsive to my ideas, expertly guiding my selections a truly beautiful result. The owner, Jeff, was also very involved, doing progress checks and even completing service calls for me as required. I am so happy with my kitchen, and how seamlessly the project went from a dream and a drawing to the gorgeous addition to my home that it has become. I highly recommend their services, and have recommended them to two of my best friends, who are likely to be calling on their expertise in the next year.
We had an excellent experience working with Amanda & Jeff of Davisville Kitchens and very happy with our new kitchen. Amanda was very professional with great design ideas, She brought 2 different concepts and we chose the one outside of our original thinking that had her creative flair and eye for details. Amanda kept us on track with her collaborative and easy going style and was effective in guiding the decision making process without feeling overwhelmed. As we were replacing a large kitchen, I was most concerned with functionality and a quality product which they have delivered. Jeff has come by to make small adjustments and their customer service is second to none. With tweaks along the way we were also able to remain within budget! We went to Amanda Rose at Davisville Kitchens knowing that we wanted to renovate our kitchen, but not knowing much else. We didn’t have any specific ideas on design, cabinets, countertops, etc. Amanda did an excellent job working with us to identify our taste and needs, and designed a kitchen that suited us perfectly. Amanda got right to the point in identifying what she thought would work and what wouldn’t, and didn’t overwhelm us with too many options and choices along the way. In short, she was a pleasure to work with and allowed us to get exactly what we wanted with a collaborative easy-going manner. We would definitely recommend working with Amanda and Davisville Kitchens.
We had talked about renovating our kitchen since we bought our house. It takes commitment and bit of a leap of faith to actually do it. After a few years, several talks and some google research, we found Davisville Kitchens. The reviews for them were so good, we thought let’s meet with them. We hit it off with Amanda right away. She made the whole renovation process seem pragmatic and do able even with kids and careers. Her design tips and step by step approach was awesome. She really was there for us every step of the way. We met Jeff a few times during the process. To that he focuses on ensuring the cabinetry is measured, crafted and installed well. One of the coolest things that the DK team does is the subsequent checks, inspections and follow ups after the project is wrapped up. We couldn't be happier with our kitchen! It's made our whole house feel even better. If you want to take on a big project like a complete kitchen reno and have the assurance the quality will be great and that you won’t screw it up, DK is really the place to work with.
