I’ve probably spent over 3k at Eweknit in a span of a year and a half. I’ve always had great experience with the customer service (the Indian lady that works there is very nice) but today the white lady that checked me out made me so uncomfortable. She kept making weird commons about my purchase and was not friendly at all!!!

Although my order couldn’t ship in time due to what’s going on with tariffs, customer service was responsive and flexible in helping me cancel my order.

Meh. I was really excited to visit this store during my trip to Canada and it was the most meh place. Beautiful assortment, amazing patterns and no atmosphere. No music, no chatter, just go in, get some stuff and leave. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re at the right place. I think most crafters shop at local stores to get a vibe and a sense of community and that isn’t here. Yarns Untangled was much more personable, cute, cozy and friendly.

This is a beautiful yarn store, and I’ve done a lot of ordering online and at times in person (but since I’m out of town not as often), in the past I would’ve given 5 stars. I used to find the vibe very welcoming and helpful, but my recent visit left a sour taste in my mouth and I’m not sure if I’ll return for in-person shopping. They were out of stock of what I was looking for, so I just was looking around window shopping (I couldn’t really impulse buy yarn without a project in mind) and I felt like I was being watched funny. Eventually as I was leaving I got accused by a staff member of trying to steal, I proved I hadn’t but it was pretty offensive since I have been a paying customer for so long. When she saw I hadn’t she tried to backpedal but it was too late, it was weird. Anyways, I’ve since felt like doing all my ordering from another store with better customer service, but I definitely felt disappointed that my favourite store let me down. I get where she was coming from, but I think it discouraged me from shopping in-person, which is such an important part of buying yarn to me. I would say the store might want to work on creating a more welcoming atmosphere, especially for those who might not be recognized as repeated customers (because of being out-of-town and mainly ordering online) and not treat them differently from those who are able to go in person often.

Ordered from this shop and they repeatedly failed to ship over the course of 4 months. Although I emailed multiple times to resolve the issue, they either a) responded with timelines they failed to meet or b) never responded. Supposedly they have FINALLY shipped my order only after I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company and got my money refunded. Communication is key to adapting to COVID, and they have failed on this front. They should have given the opportunity to cancel the order months ago. Instead, they continue pretending nothing is wrong. I would not recommend ordering from this shop online.

fast and friendly service when placing an online order for pick up. wish there weren’t so many out-of-stock items on the website! but still great service.

I recently put in an order for yarn during their Spring Sale (end of May) and I just received my order this week (beginning of July). I am disappointed with the service I received from this store and would recommend buying elsewhere during the pandemic closures. I emailed the company multiple times in regards to the delay and lack of communication from the store over how long my order was taking (emailing after 1 week and then 1 month after putting my order in). I understand things take longer with limited staff and I was happy to wait for my order, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t being dropped through the cracks (as my credit card was charged within days of ordering). After being told the weekend I order was being packed, I waited another few weeks before I contacted them again (via email and Instagram - which responded quickly but with zero ability to provide information about orders), and was just told part of my order was no longer in stock. I decided to receive a refund for that item and just get the remainder of my order. Two weeks later, my order arrived, but there has been no contact regarding my refund. Again, my emails are going unanswered. I would like to assume the store is lovely during non-COVID times and hopefully will improve service once it reopens - but I will not be returning.

Hi Emma, The item that you ordered was a pre-order item and the order page explicitly stated this. We did ship your order on September 11th which was the day after the pre-order items arrived. Given that your money has already been refunded by your credit card company, we ask that you return the shipment to us (and, of course, we will refund the shipping). Team Eweknit
