I was looking for a place to learn how to knit and after much internet research I found The Wool Mill. My teen daughter and I joined an all ages learn to knit class and I can’t say enough about the experience. The other class participants were lovely, and our instructor - Susan - was incredible! We are hooked and knitting and will be making many return trips to the wool mill for inspiration and classes.

It was a while back, I took in my favourite knit sweater to have darned. They did a great job, you couldn't tell there was a repair where the work had been done. This is now my go to place for repairs for my wool items.
This is my favourite yarn store in Toronto. Its main attraction for me is the owner, Wendy. Wendy is the most patient and skilled knitting teacher I've come across - I'm a slow learner, but she can teach even me new tricks! And she has amazing stories of where her knitting has taken her, among other tales... Great selection of yarns and notions across the range of prices. Excellent repairs on knitted work for a very reasonable cost. And a large number of exquisitely-knit baby and children's clothes and accessories, and some adult-size ones, for sale. If you want to buy hand-knit items for babies or children, you won't find nicer things for better prices than at the Wool Mill.
Wendy the proprietress is amazing. Warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Great selection and fair prices. Highly recommended and it's my favourite LYS in Toronto.
