Carol is very dependable and has great attention to detail. She suggests alternative solutions based on the materials and fit of the item. Turn over is also good, although I am never in a rush to get items altered. Having Elite around is a nice bonus to the experience.
I came here during an extended visit to Toronto recently. The hotel I was staying in (a block from this business) charged too much for doing a load of laundry so coming to Elite was the economical choice. For a wash and fold service, it costs $40 for 10 lbs of laundry, which I thought was very reasonable. The woman who owns the shop (I think her name is Carol) is extremely kind. Not only was my laundry done impeccably well, but she finished it ahead of schedule. I dropped off my load on Friday and didn’t expect to get it back until Monday. However, she texted me on Saturday to say my laundry was ready and offered to drop it off at the front desk of my hotel. I came back on Monday to leave her a nice tip because I greatly appreciated the good service. If I’m ever back in the area, I will be sure to come back. Oh—and she has a very sweet dog as well (and there’s a sign at the door warning customers).
I called today to ask if they could cut a pair of jeans shorter in one day. Instead of just saying no the person on the phone snapped and said angrily “I have other work, you’re not the only customer.” So rude I was shocked. Will not be returning.
I took in an alteration for a bridesmaid dress very last minute, but she was able to do everything that I asked for at a very affordable and reasonable price! Most places would charge for a large sum of rush fee which she did not ask for at all! Definitely would return for other alterations as well!
Rude behaviour & Very bad customer service! I give my 2 winter jackets to dry clean, her argument was like don’t complain if it would not be cleaned! Is it work like that, wohooh.. you should develop better attitude.
I had to alter a bridesmaid dress last minute and the owner came through! She was so kind, gave excellent advice on how to hem the dress. Cost was extremely reasonable. She reassured me it would be done in time (2 days) and it was done perfectly! I love that she texts you when your clothes are ready instead of calling. Just super convenient with excellent service all around.
BINGPOT!!! I am so happy I found this shop to do the alterations for my wedding dress. - shorten the length - add pockets - add lining to the bust area I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg for the work but Elite alterations is incredibly well priced, especially for the downtown area. Carol is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great communication. Amazing workmanship! I can honestly say that I will be back to get any alterations done. Highly recommended. 5 stars all around ?
