I have only been collecting since about October, and Akira was the first store I went into. I instantly felt at home! Sam, the owner was very knowledgeable and a good sales man! That first visit another customer was giving me the ins and outs and now she has become such a close friend! Since that first visit I have been there more times than I should admit, but again it feels like home. I can get my albums and pcs (which they have the biggest collection of!); but I also get to hang out with friends. I never feel bad spending money in there because it makes me happy, but it is also going to someone who has now become a friend. I honestly don’t know how he runs this store all by himself! If you need your kpop fix deff come to Akira!! Here is a picture of my recent purchase that made me so frigin happy!!

I honestly loved this store before. I went in person twice when I was in Toronto and have purchased from their website multiple times because they have the option to request member pobs/versions. My issue is that I placed an order for some ZeroBaseOne albums with soundwave and withmuu pobs back in AUGUST and have yet to receive them or at least an update on when I'd get them. I ordered Stray Kids albums in Spetmeber and have received those, so where are my ZB1 albums I've sent emails and have filled out their contact form on their site as well as have left a comment on one of their Instagram post and have not gotten any reply. I might try to dm them on Instagram but I'm genuinely getting pissed off. I spent nearly 230$ on those albums and I understand if it takes longer to receive them but like at least respond Give some sort of update And their website doesn't even have the option for you to make an account so you have to just go through your email to see if they sent ANYTHING. Honestly if you really want pobs at this point just get a K-addy and if you dont care about pobs purchase from other stores like LightUpK or AmuseGround. At this point I dont even care about the pobs (even though the pob versions were more expensive then the ones without pobs). I either want my money back or for them to actually send the products I spent so much money on.

tons of albums ( lots of TXT and SKZ, NJZ, LSF, twice, BP, ive, etc.) They have a couple of really cute binders + Labubus too! There was also merch (think tees and longleves, etc.) on a rack. 20$+ PCs are on display, and others are in binders. They're well-priced and in my case, underpriced! A Martin pop-up card was going for 30-ish, and its value is a similar rate but in USD. I bought a SKZ album, and I was super surprised to find out that I bought a pre-order album and got an extra 8 items :D (I also pulled a pretty valuable bang chan pc, so i might be biased, but ig akira albums are just luckyyy) The guy was super nice and helpful, and it was fun! (PS. I saw skzoo's and a really cute pc keychain i almost boughtt) Edit: check online aswell, there's a much larger selection with literally every group + solo you can think of. They have merch preorders, weverse editions, seasons greetings, and so much more! Be careful though, I've never ordered online before as sometimes it's not very transparent. If you're not liking this store, try lightupk, it's my friends fav

update: the owner is very apologetic and let me know the situation with the albums. he also explained the next steps that he will take to make sure customer service for online albums is known. hopefully in the future there won't be any trouble with online orders. i can also vouch that the in store shopping experience is great! there is still room for improvement with the online shopping experience. i'm also another super frustrated customer that ordered online. i pre ordered haechan's taste albums in september and then never heard anything back. it's currently early december. i tried emailing a couple of times and didn't get a response so i went to the in store location in early november. when i asked the worker said that they're waiting on a shipment and it should be in "next week," and it's been about 3 weeks now. i came to the reviews to see if anyone else was having trouble with online orders and saw that people had been dm-ing them on instagram but also had a lot of bad luck. im pretty frustrated at this point since one of the albums i pre ordered was for my friend for christmas and i'll be leaving in a couple of weeks. i just dm'd them on instagram too, but i'll be returning to the in store location again to see what's going on since that seems to be when i can get some sort of response.

I used to be a regular here and I actually bought many pcs and albums since their open, however recently I’ve had a lot of problems. Two times now I’ve preordered albums months in advance and have not received any pre order benefits. I tried to get in contact, I messaged on instagram three or four times and sent an email, but I have not gotten a response and it’s been a month. Again I hate leaving a bad review like this but I was really disappointed since I ordered the albums specifically for the pobs :(

Came for the grand re opening sale everything was amazing staff was super friendly love the store and congrats on the explanation! Also place a pre order on the website for my skzoo sooooooo cute this is the place to get all your kpop need recommend it to everyone!!!

Akira used to be a place I would always visit, but for the last few months I have bad experiences. My first bad experience was when I ordered an Enhypen album set for pickup (a while ago), I only received partial POBs and they said that they would look into it but never followed up. If I just ordered from another store, I would have gotten everything with no problem. My second bad experience was I bought pcs from him and one of the ones he gave me were wrong. I proceeded to follow up but no reply. Save yourself the trouble and order from another kpop store or join GOs.
