I had no particular plan or design but Kevin took great initiative and had so much patience. My nails came out amazing. I will definitely come back. The total price for everything was also reasonable, $100. This beats every other place I’ve been to.
Looking at the online photos of the interior I believed this place would look like how it did. It was the complete opposite. The inside was extremely messy and the vibe when you walk in does not feel welcoming at all. As she was doing my nails, there was dust everywhere on the table and the nail polish bottles look old. The older lady was rude, she charged me extra for my nails. NEVER going again!
Had a interesting experience at this salon, not sure why so many great reviews.The quality of the nail work was great, but I was surprised by how unclean the salon was. The workstation wasn’t wiped down, (could feel dust on the desk) and I wasn’t sure if the tools were properly sanitized. Additionally, we were upcharged for our service. It did seem like a miscommunication, but still frustrating. Overall, the service itself was good, but the cleanliness and pricing transparency need improvement.
The person who did my nails was named Lucy. When I talked to her, she didn’t even respond. The nails she did were nothing like the picture I showed her. She filed my nails so hard that she cut me several times.
First visit had a great experience with Anna - she was professional, quick (not even an hour and half from start to finish) and did a clean medium length French set on me, $85 dollars was the base rate before tip. The work was worth it & price seemed fair. Second visit was awful, I had a fill done and the tech who serviced me keeping nicking my skin, it took 2 hours bc she couldn’t do the French tip line work (i ended up having to ask another tech to assist and she finished the set) & to make it worse they tried to charge me $88 dollars for a fill??? It literally made no sense, I went shorter and it wasn’t even a new set. The front desk was going on about powder, design etc. trying to justify it but it still doesn’t make sense how a fill with the exact same style I had done 2 weeks ago would be more than my original set. I didn’t ask for anything extra. After way too much back and forth I ended up paying 84 dollars for a basic FILL smfh. To make matters worse I checked with the girl who initially referred me to this place and they only charge her $70 for the exact same style. Safe to say they make up prices as they go and some of their techs need training outside of the workspace to not waste the customers time. In no world should a short french fill take 2 hours or be $85 dollars. Unfortunately based on that experience alone I don’t think I’d return to this place or recommend it to anyone else. If you do go only book with Anna and keep in mind they might overcharge you depending on whatever mood they’re in.
It really saddens me to have to write such a review but I am so tired of Amazing Nails. Everything seems to be about money at this salon. I’ve been coming here for almost 13 years and the ONLY thing that makes me return over and over is Lin. More now recently, when I leave I say to myself it’s time to go elsewhere. I received a gift card for a mani pedi shellac for $75. I went in with the intent that all I would have to pay is money for a tip. NO, they made me pay taxes on top of the already purchased gift card. And she said “this is our policy” …. IF charged for taxes it should be included with purchase. Never have I heard of paying extra on top something that was gifted/already purchased unless it doesn’t cover the full amount. Because I only was prepared to pay tip, it took away from what I was able to give because I only had cash on me. Honestly it was the icing on the cake for me. The customer services is poor, it’s really not that clean, the colours are never restocked with seasons and now this. If it wasn’t for Lin, I would never go back. She does the best pedicures! Everyone who I refer there I say only go to her. When I was there I voiced to the owner and front desk about the concern around this policy and they dismissed my words, which resulted in me writing a Google review. Amazing nails, please do better. And change this terrible policy.
Nails by Anna 10/10 every time!!! She will sit with my crazy ass that will change colours 45 times even though they’re nude and give me exactly what I’m looking for ?
