I’ve gotten my nails done by Cammy for the third time. She works quickly and always creates a consistent shape. Her finish is clean and smooth with nothing irritating, so my nails last a long time!
The salon is nice and the technicians mostly do a good job with designs. However, my experience with this branch of the salon has been neither excellent nor downright terrible overall. My latest experience has prompted me to write this review. The technician that does my nails is usually good enough at replicating designs. She is nice, but her work isn't always super clean and she isn't particularly chatty (which hasn't been an issue until now). I went in and showed her a picture of the design I wanted and she asked me to pick the colour. I tried to select what looked like the closest match to the picture. If it wasn't going to be the best choice for the design, I would've preferred if she said something. She even brought the wrong colour and when she asked me to check it, I pointed out that she brought a blue when I'd selected a green that matched the inspo picture better. However, as she was drawing the designs, I pointed out that the colour was looking super pale/faded against the nude background. I could barely see the design. She assured me that it wouldn't be so muted once she put on the top coat. I left the salon yesterday a bit unhappy, but hoping that the nails will grow on me and under different lights I'll be able to see the designs more clearly. But today, for the first time since I've been a Glossix customer, I went back to express dissatisfaction and to ask for my nails to be changed or improved. Considering that I had paid $145 ($120 on my finger nails alone) just the day before, their offer to change the nails (to a simpler design) for an additional $55 just didn't sit well with me and my wallet. I went across the street to a different nail salon and was quoted $50 for the same service (and this is without the "discount" glossix offered from their original $75 quote). Maybe I should've gotten a technician who would look at a design and choose the colours that would work best. Either way, I'm going into the holidays unhappy with my nails and it's extra annoying that I spent so much money just to be feeling like this. I've been going to Glossix by Landsdowne even before this branch opened. I get my nails done every 4-6 weeks unless my nails need a break, so I've had more sets done here than I can bother to count. Sometimes I leave very happy and other times I leave a bit dissatisfied with the outcome. This last experience has left me completely disenchanted. I need to find a new salon in the new year, one where the service can be consistently good.
i’ve been coming here for about 7 months now and hanah works absolutely magic !!!! i always book with her and i am never disappointed. her attention to detail and intricacy is outstanding and she’ll always make sure you’re happy step by step before moving on.
Even though I explained to the tech that I didn’t want the dremel used for a regular polish manicure, she insisted on using it for my cuticles. Of course, my natural nails were damaged. Now I have to wait months for this to grow out.
I literally had the best experience ever!! I am super picky about my nails but Mina was so lovely and understanding!!! They turned out amazing and everyone was so nice
Not even worth a single star. Worst service ever. They made the most simple line design so wobbly and terrible I had to ask them to remove it right away. Avoid this scam business literally the worst quality I have ever seen. They were also so rude and fully charged.
I’ve been coming to Glossix Nails Annex for several months, specifically with Lee, and his work is astounding! I get either Gel X or Bio Gel nails with shellac and I always leave super happy with the shape and designs!
