I was quite hesitant to leave this review as I am a new repeat customer and all my interactions have been very good and this place has a lot of very talented artists and I’ve been happy with my gel nails designs, so I hope this will taken more of a feedback than tryna speak bad of the place but after removing my gel; my nails are way thinner then they should be almost paper thin; very bendy to a point where I can’t grab anything without hurting my fingers a lot; and the surface of the nail is uneven where you can see the patches and angular filing on it (nail not looking smooth). Breaking a lot too. I know gel damages nails, but damage to the nail to that extent can and should be avoided. They do overfile your natural nails. I think more effort goes into the designs than taking care of the nail health. Also; they are good at gel but the regular polish chipped way too much in 15 hours. i never had that experience before. I also had some questionable moments with the cleanliness of the place and the tools; though my nails tech did her best to avoid any dirty utensils; such as bringing out a nail tool three times! i bought a nail hardener off of amazon to kinda harden my nails; but tbh I’m quite concerned about how they are not and not accidentally breaking them from the middle or it separating. Please let me know Monday Luxe if you have any tips for the damaged nails :( Photo is my regular polish after 1 day and how bendy and thin they are (hardener on top).
My sister and I have been seeing Carmen for our nails and we couldn’t be happier with the results each time. Instead, I was constantly told what could or couldn’t be done, and every suggestion I made was met with an explanation of why it wasn’t possible. I prefer working with professionals who listen, understand, and try to meet the client’s needs — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. It’s been over 7 days, and I don’t plan to return. Today was my first time visiting Mon Luxe. Sandy is such a nice soul and so welcoming. I got my toes and nails down by Carmen. Carmen is absolutely phenomenal. She asks you multiple times If your happy with her work throughout your appointment to make sure your happy and pays amazing attention to detail. She makes sure both hands or feet match on both sides perfectly and doesn't fail at it. This salon is wonderful and I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. Carmen your awesome I can't stop looking at my nails they are amazing. Thanks to Sandy & Carmen for such a great first experience.
I am a little disappointed. I went to the salon with a lot of good recommendations from my friends. I walked out of the salon very happy because the girl did a great job and I loved my nails. Now, two days after they started cracking and peeling?. Idk what went wrong but I feel bad that I am going to my trip with my nails peeling ☹️
I brought in an inspo photo and they did a good job of replicating it. Nail tech paid a lot of attention to little details. Unfortunately, when I first walked in the energy of the place was a bit unfriendly. There were 3 girls at the front and all of them were on their phones. They didn't give a warm welcome and my nail tech didn't introduce herself to me. I am going to go there again to give them another chance because I was happy with everything else but I hope this is something management will work on because I did spend quite a lot of money that day and didn't feel like a welcomed patron.
Love this place! Staff are superstars, prices are good and the atmosphere is beautiful! You 100% need to book in advance despite walk-ins being welcome....they’re just that busy! So call in advance Rosa is amazing, but don’t book her, she’s too busy and I don’t wish to share!
