Pinky nails on Church are the best in the neighbourhood. I recommend them to anyone asking. They’re not the closest to my place but are the cleanest and they always accommodate me on the same day so I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years. They’re lovely people and I consistently leave happy.
Pedicure was fine but the manicure was terrible and painful. Cuticles were scraped and picked and clipped to the point of bleeding. The nails look awful. Just Horrible.
If I could give this place negative stars I would I wanted an acrylic set they told me they don’t do that and that I’d have to get shellac they charged me 110$ for literally just the colour pink on my natural nails and toes 2 days later my nails are chipping off they didn’t even do shellac on me I literally could have just went and paid 5 dollars for a nail polish at the drug store and saved myself 100$ SERIOUSLY SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE BETTER WORST QUALITY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE
I really wanted to support this local salon, but unfortunately my first experience was extremely disappointing and even painful. I called ahead around 4 p.m. to ask if they accept walk-ins. I was told I could come at 7 p.m., and they’d see if they could take me. I showed up at 7:15, and although it wasn’t busy (only one customer inside and two staff sitting around), the owner still asked if I had booked. I reminded him that I was told to walk in. I was assigned to a technician named Sarah for a half-leg waxing service. The experience was painful from the start - ythe wax wasn’t warm enough, and the application felt rough. I had tears in my eyes from how painful it was. I politely asked her to use her other hand to apply pressure to relieve some of the pain (a basic standard in waxing), and she refused, saying she only uses one hand - even though the other was resting on my knee for “control.” Worse, she repeatedly threw the used waxing strips on the floor instead of using the garbage bin, which felt extremely unhygienic. At the end, she applied oil without mentioning what it was and aloe vera gel before using a cold towel - which defeats the purpose of soothing the skin and closing pores. She also left wax and sticks on my foot and forgot to remove them until I pointed it out. To top it off, I later noticed my legs turned red, and I suspect I had a skin reaction and I’m not sure if the products were expired. I also noticed areas she missed completely. When I told her I was a walk-in, she made me feel bad for not booking, even though the owner himself had allowed me in and the salon wasn’t busy. Her comments and attitude were unprofessional. This was a very uncomfortable experience, and I sadly won’t be returning. I came in hoping to support a local spot, but left with irritation, patches of missed hair, and a possible skin reaction.
I've had mani-pedis at nail bars in many places in the world, and I must say that I was very impressed with Pinky Nails and Spa. Friendly staff, great service. I'll be back next time I come to Toronto?
I’m absolutely delighted with the results! As it was my first time getting a manicure, I truly appreciated Sarah's attention to detail. She was both gentle and friendly throughout the experience. I will definitely be returning!
Recently away on a business trip and decided to treat myself to a last minute pedicure. Pinky’s happened to be super convenient to my hotel, and had availability on a Sunday morning. The salon was very clean, the staff super friendly, and my technician was incredibly sweet and gave one of the best pedicures I have ever had. Highly recommend.
