I come here all the time and it’s normally decent service and I’m satisfied with results but this time I had an older lady called Kimmy and she was very rough with me. She nicked me multiple times with the machines as well as the nail file and she was generally rude and not very nice. She was agitated and somewhat abrasive when I came in already and I could tell she trying to rush through it. I guess she must’ve just been having a bad day, but I was very disappointed with the nail tech today and I probably will not be coming back because Kimmy made me feel very uncomfortable and half way through the set I felt like telling her I would no longer like to continue but I was too scared.

Not a bad option, and definitely convenient if you’re local, but I’ve had very inconsistent experiences here. You can always walk in for an appointment, which is convenient. They always seem friendly enough. The owner is your communication medium between the nail techs, and sometimes things get lost… I’ve had some manicures that I love, some that are poor. Most recently, I was very clear what I needed, told the owner who told my tech and then once I sat down, I also told my tech as we began. The second I stopped paying attention, she cut all the length of my nails off with scissors she pulled out of a non-sterile looking bag. I will admit, she fixed everything well enough so the set looks fine, albeit very short. While it looks like they use an autoclave to clean the tools, sometimes I question how sanitary things are. Most of the techs have personal bags of equipment that don’t look to get any more than a simple swipe of a paper towel with acetone before they put them back in their bags. If you’re looking for anything other than a very simple standard, any petty, I would look somewhere else, but for those of us who live in walking distance and have the energy to monitor what we’re getting, it’s not a bad place to go.

THIS IS WHAT THEY DO TO THE HANDS AFTER WAX AND STILL TELL YOU ITS NORMAL!! When i reached them they said continously said its NORMAL ! The pictures are taken after 1 day of the waxing . Highly not recommend this salon!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They don’t know how to communicate. I literally asked for just color gel, but the lady misunderstood and did something else. I spent 3 hours trying to explain that it wasn’t what I wanted, but she kept going, saying “next, next.” She clearly wasn’t understanding what I was saying, and afterwards they charged me $65 instead of $35. My nails look gross, and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Mind you, this is a nail set I just got done at Pleasant Nails as I’m writing this review. It looks like a preschooler played around with my nails. It was completely botched. Several parts are missing gel or polish entirely. And as you can clearly see, my middle finger nail is totally crooked. I noticed it right from the beginning and pointed it out to the nail tech. She had the audacity to tell me that it was MY FINGER that was crooked. At the end of the service, I asked to speak with the manager to complain. The moment she came over, I barely had time to say a word before she pulled out her phone and said she was taking pictures of my hands “to protect herself” (from what, I honestly have no idea). I let her do it. Once she was done, she looked me dead in the eye and said: “Your nails are perfect, sorry but we can’t do much” and then walked away. I was shocked. Meanwhile, the nail tech clearly noticing how disappointed I was suddenly decided she wanted to “fix” the one finger (the same one I pointed out from the very beginning, and that she claimed was my finger’s fault). But by then it was already 8 PM and they were literally mopping the floor under our feet. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

I recently walked in to Pleasant Nails without an appointment and was surprised they could take me right away, especially since the salon was packed - almost every seat was taken, which I took as a good sign. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I got a shellac manicure, and while the experience was okay overall, I wasn’t totally thrilled with the results. When I left, I knew it wasn’t the best manicure I’ve ever had, and unfortunately, that was confirmed just a couple of days later when the shellac started to peel. It’s now been 5 days since the manicure and 3 of my nails are already peeling. Disappointing, especially considering shellac usually lasts me couple of weeks!

I can’t say enough great things about Pleasant Nails on Mount Pleasant! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. I always see Mandy, and she’s absolutely wonderful. I trust her completely, which is why I bring my mom here too and ensure she sees Mandy as well. The team is always so accommodating and flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to fit appointments into our busy lives. Their hours are fantastic, and the overall atmosphere is warm and inviting. I recently got my nails done here, and I absolutely love them – I can’t stop admiring them! The attention to detail is amazing, and I’m beyond happy with how they turned out. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about its clients, this is it! Highly recommend. I’ve also attached a picture of my nails to show how great they look!
