I highly recommend Sixth Sense Spa & Nail Lounge. They have the Biogel option that has always worked best with my nails, have a Cappucino ready for me every time, remember how I like my nails done, and work hard to make sure I am pleased. They even offer a Seniors’ discount.
Ive been going to this location for a while. I stopped when my usual nail tech left, but started going back. I was happy with the service the first few times, but the quality was steadily going down with each visit. I had all nails on my right hand lifting from the center of the nails after a fill. On May 16th I went for a fill it. Within 2 days one nail cracked vertically and i noticed another one was lifting from the center. Went for a fix and they would only fix the cracked one. Within the next few days another one snapped right off. Went back for a fix. This was all within the first week of doing my fill. I had no problem paying for each fix, but they said it was covered under the 7 day warranty. A few days ago I saw another one lifting so I tried to book online to have that fixed. I got a messaged that my phone number couldn't be used to book online. I called and they booked the appointment however I had an emergency and couldn't make it. Last night I decided I would remove all the nails and start over fresh. I went online to book and got the same message. I thought it was a system error so I booked with my sons number. They had Kaylee call this morning to cancel the appointment stating "no one is good enough" while laughing. Highly unprofessional.
It’s been less than a week since I got my nails done here for the first time and all of the shellac nail polish is already lifting from my nails! Not to mention it looked sort of like okay, mediocre, but not great for the price you pay and that my nails were filed in completely different shapes and sizes on each hand - I only realized when I got home and had to file the nails on my right hand to match the left.
I recommend being vigilant and staying completely present - do not expect a relaxing experience. I was told they would bring over colour choices, the tech kept repeating that one specific colour would be good and didn't offer a choice. I had to ask repeatedly where to put my wet coat as I didn't want to sit in it. I wasn't offered coffee or water. I had to keep repeating that yes, I wanted colour and the service I requested. I mentioned I had an ankle injury and to be gentle - this translated into an assumption I only wanted a one foot pedicure and only colour on my toes not hands. The final straw was repeatedly filing into my skin multiple times which has never happened at any other salon, ever. The tech was incredible confused and thought I didn't want any filing done whatsoever. I finally said I was going to leave because...well... I asked for a towel and didn't get one. As I was leaving they said they could see about another tech but it was too late. Someone so inexperienced needs supervision or to use some sort of translating app. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at a salon, it wasn't busy - there was only one other customer in the shop. Unfortunate because I have had good experiences there in the past but it's not worth the risk and frustration to try and return hoping for a better experience when there are so many other shops in the neighbourhood.
booked a UV gel set and they gave me acrylic, nail tech started to get irritated with me as I was not relaxing my hands apparently, and did not understand what i wanted. I asked her to fix the shape of my nails as some of them were uneven in length and she just brushed it off and did not fix them. I politely asked my nail tech to make the french tips thinner and she brushed it off again. the nails i ended up with are okay, but not really what i asked for. for the price i paid which was 90 dollars including tip i would expect a bit better service.
The best nail salon I’ve ever been to! Staff are so friendly and kind. One of the cleanest facilities I’ve experienced — tools are sterilized and opened in front of you before each service. Each service is so detail oriented and the staff make me feel comfortable and relaxed every time. I’ve been going back here for a few months now and will definitely keep coming back!!
Went there for the first time to get waxing services. Prices affordable. The place looks very nice and clean, was greeted upon arrival. Unfortunately the service was rushed and quite painful as beautician would not stretch the skin as many others do. Worst thing for me was she used her bare hands (no gloves) including when working on my face. COVID or not, this is something I would expect. I had to complete it at home with my own depilator as there were many hairs left. Have not experienced mani/pedi so cannot give opinion about it.
