Was a longtime customer until recently and will never go back. 7 years of going there monthly, spending $1500 a year. I usually got a mani pedi with a layer of gel and loved to try the new polishes that came in, matte or cat eye etc. Recently, I went in and felt nickel and dimed, it was ten dollars for removal of the shellac on just my big toes, ten dollars because the gel took longer to remove, it was weird. The nail tech then forgot the layer of gel and had already did the polish so just put it on top. I had never had that happen before but thought she must know that it's going to be fine. Within a week it had lifted on 6 fingers, I went back and the guy nail tech rushed and redid them and I was charged full price, ok fine ... BUT THEN THEY ALL LIFTED OFF. I went to MS23 nail salon on Queen near Trinity Bellwoods and they are wonderful, I'll be going there. Long story long BYYYYYYYEEEEEE.
Service was great, although they constantly tried upselling, which made me & hubby a tad uncomfortable. But I get it...business = profit Both babe & I got a pedi. Mine - the girl was so gentle. I doubt any dead skin came off from my heel. Her scrubbing was barely felt and my heel still felt rough when I got home. I opted for regular polish and it was unevenly done on the big toe so I pointed it out and she added another coat..it looked nice. Stayed under the blower for over half hr. She came to test it and said it's good...I told her it's not as i can see her finger print on the big toe where she squeezed to test. She simply rubbed the polish which created faint lines. Stayed another 15mins under the blower...test again, still moist. I heard that that happens when the polish is old. She insisted that it was ready. I told her that it'll smudge in my sneakers on the way home as I can see jelliness where she touched. She ignored me, wrapped my toes in plastic wrap, I put on my socks and sneakers and walked home..11mins. Got home and removed the plastic wrap - pics attached! Exactly what I predicted! I immediately called them and asked if I could return the following day for a redo of just the big toes. The lady who answered was not too happy but curtly said ok fine and hung up. I was so annoyed that I just removed the polish on the big toes by myself and painted them with a polish of my own - a completely different colour, at that. So much for pretty vacation toes. Oh well...won't be going back, ever!
I went there to get my engagement nails done inspite of the reviews...the first lady who did my nails ruined the whole design and I had to sit extra to get the right one I was like it's ok happens But it's been only a week my nails have already fallen or breaking and it was such a waste of my 110 dollars...do not recommend at all
Came to this salon in a scurry to take off acrylic nails that have been bothering me. Wendy assisted me by carefully and thoughtfully removing the fake nails allowing my nail bed to breathe. She completed the job with a clean manicure. Thank you for saving my nails.
Not great quality experience. They were able to take me same day which was appreciated, but I probably should have waited to get my gel nails fixed at my usual place. He did the colour uneven with some translucency (only one colour), it has gaps between my nails tips and the gel so I'm constantly cleaning, not a real round bottom AND the bottom is popping off! I've gone 3 weeks before with nothing peeling, so this is something new even. It didn't feel so clean, and he didn't have anything laid down to prevent the dust from getting everywhere. While I got used to it, the salon smelled very chemically. They did the job, not that the technician talked to me at all, but not going back.
I had a pedicure at this place. It was the worst experience I have every had. I am so surprised they are still in business. They should be shut down!!!!!
‘Tiffany Nails’ is the ONLY place I go to have my nails done. I get Shellac & if you have sensitive nails, you can request to have the polish removed by a tool that’s looks a bit like a drill but has a comfortable feel when they apply it to buzz off the stubborn polish, which I find much more comfortable than the usual emery board used to remove it, that actually can be painful for me. I go to Ivan usually, he’s VERY good & gentle, that’s almost impossible to find! Actually all of the people who work here are great, I just have extreme sensitivity so I’m so happy that I found Ivan. You will not be disappointed, they are all VERY professional with high standards & polite. ?
