Shinyere in the supplements section was incredibly helpful and friendly. I went in looking for Vitamin D with K2 after a friend recommended it, but I didn’t really understand why the two should be taken together tbh. My friend just kept saying it was “good for your bones,” but I wanted a clearer explanation, especially since I’d only been taking Vitamin D on its own. Shinyere broke it down perfectly “Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium, and K2 makes sure that calcium goes to your bones instead of your arteries.” LOL I didn’t even know that so I was thrilled to be informed. I’ve asked for advice in other stores before, but no one has explained it as clearly as she did. She was articulate and knowledgeable.
I’ve only ever had a great experience at Ambrosia. I shop there weekly and always enjoy my time. I see others complaining about prices but I have found Ambrosia to be far better priced than other health food stores in the city. I used to love Whole Foods until I realized the same items were always priced better at Ambrosia.
SULEIMA SULEIMA SULEIMA. It baffles me how i look back and see reviews dated from a year ago about her and yet she’s still working here? I said excuse me as i wanted to ask her a question and i was hit with straight rudeness. “Go bother someone else”, how can you be this miserable? She either has some relationship with the store manager or the managers just do not care about hiring good workers. I can’t understand how she still has a job
I find it funny on how many people are giving one star because of a staff called SULEIMA . Never Ever going there again unless they fire her . Her attitude is rude ask her politely about a product just walks away.
The lady Suleima in the supplements section is very unhelpful, rude and unprofessional , not sure why you guys have her working there oh my. She makes people want to stick pins in their eyes.
Manager of the store Adam never got back to me on the phone when I complained about one of his workers, a lady (manager at the store when the incident happened) about being rude and threatening towards my 4 year old son with disabilities. Never ever will I shop in this store. Discriminative, horrible experience. We were regular customers, going twice a week to this location since it opened. Truly disappointed and disgusted.
I might be addicted to this store? They usually have what I need and some things cost more than the same things at a supermarket (canned goods mostly and some dairy products) but so much of the veg and fruit are LESS expensive! Sometimes their organic produce costs less than the conventionally grown in other stores. Great selection of veg, fruit, cheeses and the best eggs in the city. Great nut selection also. I highly recommend Ambrosia!
