This is my second time already. And I can really say that each time has been a very satisfactory and pleasant experience. Mario has shown professionalism every time we correspond with each other only through email and some calls. Since I live here in Windsor I thought it would be difficult at some point. But he didn’t make me feel that way. Everything went smoothly. He walk me through each and every step. That alone made it all easy for me. I appreciate you Mario. Without a doubt you are more than a 5 stars!
I contacted about getting some documents notarized and Sherie was not very helpful. She basically told me my only option was online. This is not an option for me. They had no compassion or understanding of my situation. I will not recommend this company.
I called two days ahead to arrange an appointment to coincide with a trip into the city. I was assured that I would receive a call back from Mario. I did not receive the call. Neither did I receive a response to my voice messages on the next day and on the day of my requested appointment. So I called three times from the address that I was given on the website, in the hopes that a human might respond. No response. So I went to another Notary and received prompt service. I recommend Toronto Notary Public. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Downtown Notary.

On Nov. 9, 2020, Ardeshir Tahbaz at Downtown Notary commissioned a financial statement and trial affidavit for me. After I served them on the other party as part of the trial record, I contacted him again and asked him to commission the affidavit of service. He said it would be $35 but later I was charged $59. I asked why and he said there was an exhibit. I realized he was referred to the email printout attached to the affidavit of service (I am allowed to serve the other party by email). I checked and found he had indeed stamped the email. I pointed out that I had commissioned affidavits of service at the filing counter of the courthouse many times and staff there did nothing to the email, they just signed the last page of the affidavit of service. If the filing office does not require the commissioning of the email on an affidavit of service and I did not request this, I see no reason to charge for this "service." He was totally inflexible on the issue, even though I had suggested that as he is a family lawyer he could prepare a factum for my trial. I had planned to use Downtown Notary in the future, but will not as a result of this experience.
Amazingly smooth experience. After submitting documents I needed notarized ahead of time, Natasha took me through the signing process in a very thorough and professional way - the call took 10 minutes and I had received my notarized documents and invoice 5 minutes later. Exactly what was needed (and the student discount made it an exceptionally good deal)!
