First time taking professional headshots as an accounting new grad and David did not just do his job professionally but also went out of his way to provide insightful suggestions and patient guidance on posing/styles/gestures that truly showed and helped me understand the best sides of myself. David Chang’s incredible headshots & professional branding will not disappoint! Using warm flattering lighting, I’m delighted with the results. He listens & leads well toward the desired look. From first communication to final touched up pictures, what a delight to work with. If I may add lessons I’ve learned (for those of you who do not do this every day), make time to really think about how each outfit, pose and background chosen will work for your branding i.e. if you know you want it for bus shelter, the more specific you are, the better pose, image & background David can get for you.
Got some photos done from David a few months ago. Took about a month to get edits. Price he offered on phone was not same as charged. Did not allow for more than single pose. Overall bad experience. Do yourself the favour and pay the extra $1-200 and go to a legit place.
I read the reviews and was looking forward to getting LinkedIn headshots done. I went in mid-March 2023 and the experience with David and his assistant were nice enough and they assured me I’d receive the proofs “soon”. Fast forward mid-April 2023 and I had not heard back despite sending numerous emails. I finally called, and to David’s credit he did send me a google drive link of the unedited headshots and let me chose an additional headshot to be edited. It was a nice gesture, and I promptly responded but it is now nearing mid-May 2023 and I still haven’t heard or received anything. This process has been frustrating, especially since I was planning on using the final headshots for applications/LinkedIn and that time is starting to pass. As a person, I hope all is well with David because this seems uncharacteristic with this other reviews, but as a customer I will not be returning for future services. UPDATE: After I posted the review, David emailed me back, sent me the retouched photos and refunded my payment in full. UPDATE 2: It’s been a month since David said he’d refund me and I haven’t received the funds backs. ♀️
