Fedriz was our instructor for my first class and I had such an amazing time! She made it so easy to get right into throwing and had just the right amount of hands on instruction to both guide and inspire our pieces and let us exercise our creativity to the fullest. I will definitely be back and can heartily recommend Fedriz as your instructor to dive into the world of pottery.
We had an excellent experience with Fredriz. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made learning pottery on the wheel genuinely enjoyable. Her guidance helped us feel comfortable right away, and we left with both new skills and a great memory. Highly recommend.
Attended the 3 hour intro clay wheel class. Was my first attempt at using a clay wheel and had a fantastic experience. Devina was our instructor and was phenomenal. Clearly explained what we were doing in her demo, was exceptionally kind, and helped everyone out when needed throughout the class. Great location and studio was beautiful. Want to come back to up my skills on the wheel!
The class itself was great, the instructor was really helpful throughout the workshop, but what really bothered me was how poorly they handled the final products. We invested 3 hours of our time building our ceramics and it felt like whoever glazed and fired our clay could care less. I was really disappointed with how my pieces turned out. The glaze was applied incredibly unevenly, with huge globs and parts of my pieces were chipped as well. I would definitely not go back to this studio nor recommend anyone else to go.
I’ll start by saying I was happy I got to experience making pottery on a wheel. However, there were complications with booking and the staff never answers the phone so every communication is via email which got very confusing and had lots of miscommunication. After the class, I started getting emails of “invoices” trying to charge me for a third time for my beginner wheel class. After addressing Sarah’s email about the invoice, including our comments on our poor experience at this location, she didn’t even apologize for her mistake of sending additional invoices or apologize on behalf of the studio for our awful experience in general. We had to cut our time off 30 mins early to clean up the studio which is fine, I don’t mind doing that but we paid $150 per person for the full three hours and we only got 2.5 hours. My advice: choose a different location that actually cares about their customers instead of just trying to take their money.
Super fun experience with just a single class. Since it was short I was surprised we were even able to make anything. That’s all thanks to our great instructor! She really went around helping those in need! They glaze up your piece and fire it for you for pick up in 3 weeks from the class.
We ordered the Clay to Go kit's for an at-home pottery experience, since we couldn't book an in-studio class. It was so fun, and so easy to do. COVID protocols were in place and easy to navigate. The studio was so responsive, and Janelle (studio manager) was so responsive and patient with my 1000 eager e-mails. Gabriela, the owner, was also super quick to offer info and support. The hardest part is waiting to pick up your clay after the kiln - it took about 2 weeks, which was the expected time frame, and made for a fun 2-part activity. We'll definitely be booking an in-studio class when it's safe to do so! Thanks so much!
