OMG! I absolutely loved this class! What an incredible experience into a hobby that not only has the ability to calm the noise in your mind but you get to create and be creative! My class/session mates were awesome! A small group of 4 was perfect for that one on one time and you were also able to watch the others create as well. We made 3 different objects and Paul was super fantastic! Paul explained everything we would be doing in advance and also was patient in guiding each one of us at a time. A small setting in The Annex of Toronto, Paul is a fantastic instructor who teaches you from start to finish (as much as you can in 2 hours) and literally guides your hands with his so you understand the right amount of pressure and direction and is very informative and overall just a great human who teaches you the introduction of "Throwing Pottery' and a good stairway to a different kind of creativity. Thanks again Paul for your hospitality and sharing your insight into Pottery! If you have never experienced Pottery Throwing yet you are missing out! I forgot to capture photos of the creations! Cheers :) I will be back!
Do yourself a favour—skip this class and look elsewhere. We paid $75 for a "2-hour workshop" but only got about an hour of clay time. Instead of learning more, we spent 10 minutes cleaning up for him. When I raised concerns, Paul dismissed them, saying we were an "advanced group" and shouldn't expect too much for $75. His response was unprofessional and dismissive. The class was also falsely advertised. The website claims "plenty of one-on-one support," but Paul barely spent 2-3 minutes with each person. We were told we'd create three unique clay items, but instead, we made three small pen holders—nothing more than basic office supplies. If you're looking for a meaningful pottery experience, this is not it. For $75, you deserve more than a rushed class with minimal guidance. There are far better options like Olive Branch Pottery, Clay with Me, and Pottery Dream, where you can actually get a rewarding experience.
I have recently signed up for a class to give it a try for the first time. As I started, Paul was just a very great instructor and knows how to do everything right for my mistakes on pottering and it felt so great to him giving me a hand which I appreciated
Went to one of Pauls pottery classes today and it was so much fun! Paul is a great teacher, and we learnt the basics of pottery, and had time to each create 3 pieces during our 2 hour workshop. If you're at all interested in trying it out, I would highly recommend taking a class here!
Paul was so kind and a great teacher! I did the 2 hour workshop and everyone else ended up cancelling so I basically had a private workshop. Would definitely do it again and bring friends next time!
My first time going for a pottery lesson, so I loved that the classes were held in small groups so Paul could spend time with each person and help them with their technique. It was so much fun and a great experience and I would definitely go back!
I have used these mugs for years now. I recently purchased two on line. I ordered the 15 oz,. When I received the mugs they were more like 20/22 oz. I immediately emailed the vendor. She replied immediately that she would look into it. I emailed them a week later and was given some lame excuse for not checking the mugs concerning volume . This was several weeks ago and I still haven't heard from from them. This is an example of VERY poor customer service. I am very disappointed.
