Deceptive. Advertises as an abortion clinic but is a pro-life front designed to misinform women about abortion and manipulate them out of choosing abortion. Absolutely abhorrent.

Tess, Aid to Women does not advertise as an abortion clinic. We are pro-life. We do not hide it. Helping a woman who comes to us wanting to have her child but feel she has no choice but to abort for whatever reason, is the most feminist thing you can do. We also offer counseling for those women who struggle post-abortion. We care. We will be there.

This organization is the best thing that happened to me as a single mom who had difficulty in providing basic necessities for her baby. Thank you so much for all you did, I’m in a better living condition now and your help was part of the things that got me there❣️

While this place shows up when you search for “abortion clinics” in Toronto, it appears to not only NOT provide them but also have a firm anti-choice stance as evidenced by the testimonials and info on their website - “we are committed to help women grow and make LIFE-AFFIRMING decisions”. It would be nice if they were explicit regarding their politics and beliefs on abortion but they likely intentionally do not do so - so as to draw in unsuspecting women “in crisis”. Their location - immediately adjacent to an actual abortion clinic (I suppose so they can actually do “outreach” in front of their storefront and harass women going next door) is beyond the pale. I write this as a warning for folks trying to navigate the sector and find abortion services or *unbiased* decision counselling. These and other places often sound lovely on the surface, but their politics are paramount to their mission and they take no qualms with forcing them onto people making tough decisions. I’m certain they do some great work, but just be aware of their politics and what services they offer. At the very least, Google shouldn’t display this place under “abortion clinic” searches! Come on Google!
