I loved visiting Canadian tire as a kid. The chain has changed. Super high pricing. Forget the mechanics who are snooty. $150 just to check my car in without doing anything? Have You lost your mind!
Love this place as many deals to be had. Staff can be hard to find so pretty much in your own here. The cool thing about their website though is if you find the item you like it will actually give you the aisle number and location. Quite cool !
Never has the stock they say. Can't find the stuff you order. Tells you stuff will be ready by the next day but then take 20 minutes to find it.Also saw the auto techs lie and tell someone synthetic blend oil is the same as full synthetic and that he MUST buy high mileage oil additive rather than tell him to buy oil that actually meets the specs for his car.Also this is the only location Ive ever heard of that requires a receipt for oil to return used oil. As someone that stockpiles several bottles when its on sale and may not use it until a year later this is a huge impediment. And of course I found this out right after tossing out the receipt for 20L of oil I just bought here.
me and my spouse bought a tent for our camping trip. where else would you go other than Canadian tire for something like that ! super excited to set up the tent when we got to our site 4 hours away only to have one of the elastics snap inside the pole. I had to rig it up with string and sticks to last our 4 days of camping. We went to the store today to return it and get our money back and the Representative refused. we had to almost argue to speak to a manager and when the manager finally came they said they would only take it back as an exception but we had to drive to the other end of the city to which store we bought it from.. this is a chain of companies.. customers shouldn't have to drive across the city and or argue that a broken tent the first time its set up is a problem we shouldn't have to deal with... super unprofessional and a disappointment from what I thought OUR Canadian stores values were. Ill be shopping at the big USA brand of Walmart from now on I KNOW they would have accepted it on the spot with an apology no questions asked.... BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY HERE.
Every time I've gone the staff are extremely helpful and know the aisles so well. Between all the choices in this area I still try to check here first and foremost for the stuff I need.
