I’ve talked to so many regulars, and everyone is saying the same thing. This store has gone completely downhill, and the biggest reason is the manager. Every time I walk in, she’s either snapping at someone or acting like helping customers is some massive inconvenience. The attitude is unreal. And the way she’ll reprice items at the register? Give me a break. The stuff is already OVERPRICED!!! It’s a thrift store for god’s sake. It’s not even her own business, yet she acts like she’s personally losing money. GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU GOT GOOD STUFF TO DONATE! How she ended up in charge is beyond me. The fact that nobody has stepped in to deal with this is honestly wild. How could you let someone with such a poor attitude and rude/erratic behaviour become a store manager for people in need?!!!
Perfect. Smaller store for sure, but you could find gems and prices are definitely better than VV. Just got a very nice pair of sorel winter shoes for 20 bucks! Staff is also super nice.. Give it a shot!
I've found some pretty solid clothing items here for a great price. All staff I've interacted with are very kind and friendly. I wish the place was better organized. From the perspective of someone who donates, I'm more willing to support this store than VV because they do actually price items like second hand and staff is nicer.
This store is a hit or miss. Management has changed recently for the worse. Have had several amazing interactions with staff (shoutout Joseph and Jyoti?) but new manager; medium build woman, with ash blonde hair mid 30s is quite abrasive. I tried to purchase an item placed on the floor unpriced and she snatched it from me (it was a woven basket) and proceeded to tell me I "could not" buy it because it wasn't priced. I told her no problem, I was willing to wait etc. she said she would have to hold the item.. this is similar to old VV policies but seriously atrocious for sally Ann. Another associate told me I couldn't put items (too large to carry around while I shopped) behind the counter because it's first come first serve. I told her I was GOING to buy it in a few minutes but what an danger and nuisance it was to carry the oversized item around the shop. Service has dropped tremendously, disappointed because this really was a neighbourhood shop.
I like the store but they (and all salvation army stores) still refuse to let people use the change rooms after COVID so I have taken my business elsewhere for clothes, since you can't do returns, only exchanges. (If it's something you can try on in the store that may work for you though). I hope the higher ups change that policy soon since it is not necessary at this point, and I'd rather have my clothes dollars be supporting a good cause than a for profit business.
Store is organized very well, staff are friendly, many treasures to find. Ignore negative comments, its one of the best locations however they need to stock better books, their books are looking a little worn out.
Well organized with many deals and hidden treasures...some items are a bit pricey for a thrift store, usually high end name brand items that are priced higher because of the brand. Otherwise great store!
