I feel so lucky to live in a country where clinics like this one are covered by OHIP. I was able to get an appointment for a D&C within days of calling and while I felt very nervous, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the procedure was from start to finish. After signing the forms and paying the $60 clinic fee I was greeted by Dee who immediately made me feel comfortable. She made me laugh and feel at ease even though the situation itself was nerve-wracking and emotional. During this session, we also discussed future birth control options and I was really impressed that patients are empowered to have these discussions in a non-judgemental way. For the procedure itself, I was introduced to Marnie and Heather who both knew I was nervous about the IV and chatted with me and distracted me throughout the entire procedure. It barely hurt and only took a few minutes. They were so kind and efficient that I had no idea they were even finished by the time it was done. Afterwards, I was moved into the recovery room where a nurse (who's name I have unfortunately forgotten!) set me up with a blanket, a hot water bottle, ginger ale, cookies and a pain killer of my choice. Here, they take your blood pressure and let you rest while the additional dizziness and cramps (if you experience any) wear off. I even chatted and joked with some of the other patients in the room at this time which was a pleasant surprise and put me even more at ease. I felt so cared for and comforted every step of the way and I'm so thankful to this clinic for taking a procedure that can be so emotionally heavy for some women and turning it into an easy, comfortable and even peaceful experience. To the receptionists, Dee, Marnie, Heather, the Nurse who's name my foggy brain forgot and all of the other staff at the clinic, thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing women in our community with the right to choose. The work you do is so important and I will forever be grateful to have had access to it in such a compassionate and efficient way.

i came here for a surgical abortion + iud insertion a month ago and didn’t want to write a review initially but then remembered how helpful reading these were when i was trying to make a decision, so here i am. i was extremely nervous at the start of my appointment, but the counsellor lady made me feel super comforted and gave me an ativan for anxiety which totally helped. then they give you a gown to change into and a swab (it’s easy you just do it in the bathroom), and wait in the waiting room. the meds they give you don’t put you out completely but i definitely felt my eyes drifting shut, and can’t completely remember everything in the procedure room, which is good! i do remember feeling some intense pain but by the time i was saying ouch, i was already done. i had the iud inserted at this time but i dont even know when that happened, i never even noticed. then the really nice nurse walked me to the recovery room where i felt super awful for a bit (im sensitive to meds tho). the nurses there are so nice, they came over to put clothes on my head and neck when i felt sick and gave me ginger ale and water. honestly it was a hard experience for me but the people who work there make it so much easier, i definitely recommend this clinic. i hope this helps someone!

this place is really awsm… staff ,doctors receptionist they all are very supportive and caring . they listen and clear each nd every doubt . i personally represent this place.

This clinic is the best. I just had my D&C done. I was scared in the beginning but everything went smooth, I didn’t wait for a longtime. The surgical procedure was fast, almost painless and the sedation really helped a lot. Every single staff member is supportive and kind.

I had a surgical abortion completed here recently and was absolutely terrified before the procedure. I cannot say thank you enough to this clinic for making such a positive experience out of the awful situation I found myself in. The entire process was flawless. I received counselling beforehand where I was offered oral sedative, was placed in a waiting room and then taken in for my procedure. The entire procedure was a maximum of 5-10 minutes, and I felt no pain during it. I remember very little due to the IV sedative that I was given. I received cookies and gingerale as soon as I entered the recovery room and was assisted by nurses with any questions or concerns I had. In total my appointment was 1.5 hours. If you are considering this as an option for yourself, I would highly recommend this clinic. I can safely say that I went into this so scared of the procedure, but left feeling nothing but relief and gratitude.

They said they don’t offer any pregnancy testing (blood work or ultrasound). Only the medical procedure. The receptionist also didn’t respond to my question if they offer abortion pills.

I visited this clinic in December 2020, and today I feel like I am ready to talk about my experience. I was referred to this clinic by the hospital I was supposed to go to but they didn’t have an appointment for me until the following week. I was so scared to get the D&C procedure done, but I am so happy I went to this Clinic. Everyone here was so nice and comforting. I remember before going in I had to sit down with the Counsellor and she was great, she calmed me down as I was super nervous. The Doctor and the nurses were amazing. Made me feel very comfortable and the Nurse even held my hand during the procedure. As soon as I was given the IV it literally felt like 2 min had passed and I was done. So grateful for everyone in this office who made me feel so good and cared for on one of my worst days.

Hi Banana: a pregnancy test is easy to get from a pharmacy, or from your doctor or a walk-in clinic. Once you have confirmed that you are pregnant then we are happy to help you.
