Food is really good. Service is friendly. Meats are smoked at their east end location and delivered daily. I'd recommend visiting with friends, so you can try a little bit of everything on the platters.
I don't know, maybe this was an off day. The restaurant was empty when I walked in but I still decided to go for it since the rating was high and I've been craving Texas style bbq. Brisket was such a letdown. Not flavorful, not juicy and most importantly not hot. It was soft enough where it's easy to cut but it lacked any sort of character or body. Could hardly taste any smokiness and it felt like you had to use the bbq sauce as a cover up. The mac and cheese was equally mediocre. Similar to a chik fil a Mac and cheese in taste. Maybe if it was warm and melty this would have been better but it was not. 1/2 lb of brisket and a small mac and cheese was around $30. I finished it all because I paid that much but man it was a sad meal. I don't know, take this review with a grain of salt. I'm comparing it to the BBQ I had in Texas and in comparison, it was really underwhelming. If you've never had this type of bbq before maybe you'll like it? I even watched the Eater video on youtube and got my hopes up for nothing. It's really hard to recommend this place, look up a brisket from a Texas bbq place and look at the picture I posted.
Came in here on a late Sunday afternoon with my husband who is a freak for bbq. Can say without a doubt that this was husband approved. This place is awesome. We each got the Austin, with beans and coleslaw and cornbread and all of it was so yummy. Cleared our trays. recommend
You can smell how delicious the food will be when you walk in the door, and it doesn't disappoint! The burnt ends are an easy highlight — smoky flavor, and they practically melt in your mouth! The brisket makes a real solid sandwich, especially if you stack some of their poblano slaw on top. The smoked sausage is to die for. The person I feasted with was a HUGE fan of the mac 'n' cheese, so if you're only going to grab one side, that'd be the big recommendation.
Absolutely love the brisket and the ribs here. Usually just order it to take home. Service is great! I once had to buy a ton of food for a party and the guy helped me figure out how much I needed, never tried to oversell which is greatly appreciated.
Brisket so soft you can cut it with a spoon. Ribs had the perfect amount of bite. Both perfectly smoked and succulent. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves bbq
I used to work in Texas so I can recognize good BBQ. I showed up to Beach Hill near closing time and the staff was nice enough to serve me. He let me try a piece of brisket and it was GAME ON! My wife and enjoyed the brisket, ribs and cornbread! The brisket was so delicious I had to keep my eyes closed to enjoyed it. It transported me back to Texas, which until I go back, I'm hoping to enjoy Beach Hill again! Also, Rafeeq is very generous and hospitable!
