Came here just for the breakfast sandwich, the hype was heavy but the sandwich didn’t disappoint. Firstly, I did not expect this thing to be as big as my hand, I was expecting something smaller like most places would offer. Now on paper it seems very basic but once you try it, the flavours are something else. The patty was juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, the homemade biscuit was another level and to top it all off the honey just complimented everything. My new favourite breakfast sandwich without a doubt. If you’re ever in the area at the right time of day pick up this sandwich it won’t disappoint.

Visited Sleepy Pete’s in Kensington with my girlfriend on a Monday afternoon and it was not busy, very quiet. We both got the SEC on a buttermilk and jalapeño chilli biscuit. she got hash brown on the side and I got potato wedges. both sides were crispy, fresh and super tasty. I would come back just for the hash brown alone, it was delicious. the breakfast sandwiches were also made fresh with hot honey and cheese as well as chicken sausage (which is pretty neat) and a fried egg! the sweetness of the honey melded so well with the other savoury flavours and the biscuits were toasted perfectly. we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. prices were more between $15-25 as combos! fun latino rock music vibes in the store and cute décor, very little seating though! only stools and small bar counters, in the weekend it would be hard to stay in and eat there. one thing I will add is that the service could have been a little more kind, we both found that the woman behind the counter was not enthusiastic or apt to us adding a side to our order, asking to heat up our scone, etc. it was a quiet afternoon, the least you could do is pretend you are happy to be doing your job, lol.

This place is so far my most favourite spot in Toronto to get a breakfast sandwich. If we’re ever in the Spadina area in the morning/afternoon time we always have to pick up a sandwich, you cannot skip it here! We always get the chicken sausage on a biscuit with hot honey. The hot honey pairs so well with the savoury sausage and I say that as a lowkey hater of the sweet/savoury combo, but something about this just works. This is a pretty hefty sandwich too so I feel like you get pretty good returns for your buck! Sitting is quite limited here so you might not be able to grab a seat.

Really good sandwich, but seating and space is very limited. No order to the line up and multiple times where people cut infront just because line was unclear. Expect very long wait times

The biscuits and gravy were so good. Some chewy pieces of bacon in it but the flavour was great. Biscuits were perfect consistency. The Arnold Palmer also was the perfect ratio.

Had the chicken Honey Sausage breakfast sandwich, you get to choose which biscuit you want (Cheese/Jalapeño)! One or the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had, so warm and delicious! Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite near the Kensington Market!

I have no clue why this place had any social media hype. We gave it a shot and were extremely disappointed. The good: the fried chicken (just the chicken) was cooked perfectly and massive. The shop looks cool. The bad: they don’t offer just an egg and cheese. You need to pay for the meat priced options. Strange when you are getting less stuff. The egg was like 1/2 of an egg. There was basically no egg on the egg and cheese. Nothing like the insta photos. I should have sent it back and asked for egg, but I can only imagine how they would go over. The fried chicken was an absolute mess. There was probably 1/4 cup of the super vinaigrette sauce.. I couldn’t even pick it up as the sauce was just pouring out. it was very over powering. I have no clue why anyone would want to eat a sandwich on a dried out biscuit. It’s not a good mix. I ate the chicken and the rest went in the trash. Also, no bathrooms available. I thought this was a requirement for restaurants. I guess not.
