Recently my company hosted an event at Acme Works and it was the best decision we could have made! Everything from the atmosphere to the community manager was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend checking this space out to host your next event or even if you're just looking to find a place to ger your 9-5 done!
I've been working out of Acme for a couple years and highly recommend it. There is always space to work at the hot desks, good wifi, call rooms, proper desk chairs, coffee included and close to lots of lunch spots. Best of all, Bryce and the staff are friendly and have built a great community here so it's easy to socialize with other members if you want that as well.
Acme Works is the perfect spot if you're looking for a laid-back, startup vibe rather than a stuffy corporate atmosphere. It’s a great place to meet like-minded people and work in an open, collaborative space. The events they host are a nice way to break up the workweek and keep things fresh. It’s definitely a solid choice for anyone looking for a change of pace from the usual office setup.
For several years I've been coming to Acme on and off when I needed to get out of the house for one reason or another...but over the past year, I've realized that planning to have a few days a week at a coworking space is REALLY helpful for me as a freelancer with ADHD! I've now been coming so regularly that I've upgraded to a membership. It's a really great space -- big and open, and not stuffy and corporate like some coworking places I've tried. Everyone's chill, friendly, and I find myself feeling really focused when I'm here. I also really appreciate that they even have drop-in rates, because a lot of co-working spaces in the city only offer full-time memberships, which isn't always the right choice for a freelancer like myself!
Terrible internet, takes forever to fix maintenance issues, has an incredibly loud *HVAC in the middle of the main working area which makes it impossible for others to hear you over a video call and if other people are talking loudly and interrupting your work you are not allowed to complain or you get kicked out. Regarding the response; Apparently saying, "Hey, would you mind keeping it down? The person I'm on a video call with can't hear me" is considered inappropriate.
I came here via Flex Day, so mystery solved I guess. I think the space is too cramped and crowded, and the staff members near the end of the day were way too loud when we were trying to work. The internet was buggy not sure if it was that day or what. It’s an okay space but would not return as there are other better spaces in TO.
Been working here for a couple weeks and it's been great. Working home alone had slowly been losing its lustre, but also didn't want to go to a corporate office and this has been the perfect in-between. Very chill environment, great area, free coffee, pool and ping pong, and Bryce is awesome
