We recently hosted our first department event at Staples Studio, and it was a fantastic experience! Huge thanks to Ferawan and Aniket for their amazing support with all the arrangements. Looking forward to hosting more events in the future!
I was there recently to pick up some business cards. Although the email had not read as "ready for pickup" yet, the lady at the counter heard that I needed the order ASAP and checked for me. She was very efficient and found my order on time -- it just hadn't been registered in the system. Great experience altogether and very professional staff.
The place itself is good but the first thing we felt at the door was, “Why did you even come here, and did you even pay for it?” The lady asked about our membership 3 times making it feel like she didn’t believe we actually had one, and even interrupted during our meeting. She also said our booking was from 9–5, and we can stay till 5:30 the latest—This was only at around 11am. She came to us 3 times but didn’t interrupt other people.
Excellent studio space for a very reasonable price located right in the heart of Downtown Toronto. I am a university student currently in hybrid mode (with some virtual lectures and in person lectures/ labs) and finding a place to study at school have been harder than ever, especially opening hours have been cut short. However, at the coworking space, it is 24/7 hours access which helped me tremendously in securing a spot to study. The amenities here are beyond satisfactory: complimentary tea, fast wifi, meeting rooms, printers (I get about 100 pages a month), phone booths and even wireless charging spots for phones! Additionally, the community managers here are extremely responsive and helpful in any inquiries that I may have. Overall, my experience with Staples studio have been wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a professional working place!
Ayesha, our Community Manager today was stellar! She mentioned being relatively new but handled all questions and situations like a pro. As for the workspace, if you're a small team and want to be able to chat quietly together, be aware that the desk areas currently have Covid safety dividers. Yes, a good safety factor for individuals but simply noting it if you plan to be able to chat with others. Ayesha was nice enough to allow us to use the theatre space for a bit so we could chat a bit louder without interrupting others. Sanitizer and wipes were positioned everywhere and yes...free unlimited coffee and tea! Although it wasn't working properly today, there is also a water bottle refill unit near the washrooms.
The studio provides a very good space to work with the flexibility to chose your days and time as per your need. It has a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea corner accessible anytime. See less wifi and well lit work area. Conference rooms are available upon booking. I specially liked the lounge area. It’s best for people who want an office feel and environment with the much needed space for calls/meetings. Muriel is very cooperating and nice to be around ! Highly recommended !
Clean, comfortable co-working space in the heart of downtown Toronto near the city hall. Staples Studio is in the east side of the Staples building. I liked the competitive price, 24/7 access, high ceiling, and the comfortable mesh chair. The community manager is very supportive. I joined the Hot Desk Unlimited Access membership in July 2020. They took some helpful covid 19 measures such as flexiglass shields on desks.
