Rachel is amazing! Her classes are accessible for multiple experience levels within beginner ballet and she takes the time to break down movements so you gain knowledge about the technique and biomechanics of particular movements. There's a great balance of barre and centre work, with room to modify movements as needed. A huge plus is that the space feels very welcoming and there is also genuine care for students learning and progressing. The perfect balance between kind and firm teaching. Thank you!!
They are an amazing dance studio with great classes for a variety of ages. My daughter has been going there since she was 3 years old. Their dance recital is like a great dance show!
Joy of Dance hosted our Spanish class' school excursion for a Salsa dance lesson, and was extremely helpful at organizing this trip. Daniel was our instructor and he was truly excellent - he conducted the class at a great pace, used Spanish to teach and was just so friendly. The students really loved this opportunity to experience Latin Culture and language outside the classroom. They had such a fun time, smiles all around!!! Gracias Daniel y Joy of Dance!!!
This is one of the most important places in Canada for dance. The staff are the greatest grouping of humans and I couldn't recommend this place enough. You're in the best hands.
The worst company that provides children activities in my life! The CEO refused to refund any money, once the class has started. She chose to start a full-fledged war with a customer in order to keep the money, instead of simply refunding the money for unused services when requested! The customers are forced to pay first online and then after the fact to sign a form that looks like a medical release form, where Joy of Dance squeezed a small, easy to miss, section about money refunds.
This place feels like home!! I've been dancing for about 20 years and recently started training with Emily Tench and her adult RAD ballet program. I can't say enough how much my ballet technique has improved over the year ... more than in 5 years of recreational classes at other studios! I really appreciate that Emily does not give up on our progress even though we aren't kids anymore and her attention to and knowledge of injury prevention is second to none.
