I've gone to several classes and they've all been excellent! Different teachers will have different styles of teaching but they've all been extremely talented and kind. Definitely one of my favourite dance studios in Toronto.
This place is amazing. It has the best studio with tons of space for all our dancers, the changeroom are good and they provide materials like bars and streching equipment. Would recommend.
I feel so taken care of at Metro with a lovely community within its space, and truly a centre for jazz dance in Toronto. Teachers are all so welcoming, knowledgeable, and effective in their teaching from absolute beginners, recreational dancers, to professionals. Please bring back Joanne Baker from Decidedly Jazz Dance (DJD) when you can, Toronto need more of her rooted jazz!
Metro Movement is THE place for professional and emerging artists to train, network and find a community of likeminded people. The owners Kalie and Phil have done a fabulous job creating a class schedule that caters to all levels and types of performers. Would not be where I am today without this studio and community.
I’ve been taking classes at Metro Movement for the past couple of years (most notably Theatre Jazz & Tap) and I can honestly say this is my favourite studio I’ve ever been to. The welcoming environment, state-of-the-art facilities, and impactful teaching styles of the instructors make Metro a MAGICAL training facility. If you’re in Toronto and want to sharpen your dance skills, Metro is the answer. Always.
Metro Movement is absolutely vital to the Toronto theatre & dance community. You’ll be able to make it home whether you are novice or professional. I am forever in dept to this institution for the way it supported my career, but more importantly for the many beautiful friendships that it brought into my life. The love of dance within the walls of Metro Movement is palpable, and that’s why their clientele is so loyal. I couldn’t recommend this studio enough. x
Metro Movement is one of Toronto's best dance studios. I have been taking classes here for many years and have loved it from the beginning. Kalie and Phil do a superb job of making adult classes welcoming for all with a focus on technique! All teachers are great. Come out and try a class — you won't be disappointed.
