The staff are very friendly and I’m always confident my dog is in very good hands when I leave her for the day. I get regular updates and could not recommend a dog daycare enough if you are looking!
We LOVE Dog World! We bring our dog for her nail trims and seasonal groom and we’ve had only good experiences. The staff is really nice and considerate of our needs. Strongly recommend!?
I've been coming here for a while. Today, I saw behaviours and heard things that scared me very much. First, the facts. Two or three sessions ago, I brought my dog for a touch up. The two times after that he would start shaking and crying uncontrollably before going in. I'm not sure what happened but I chalked it up to his typical anxiety. This was a huge mistake on my part. This time my wife and I brought him in only for his nails and some hygiene touch ups. I dropped him off -- he was freaking out as he has the last few times. Regrettably, I went against my better instincts and left him for 20 minutes. As we walk back toward the building, we hear his crying from OUTSIDE. We go in to hear him crying uncontrollably. Just for some background info: my dog is not a vocal dog -- he has only cried under extreme circumstances, which I won't get into here but for him to cry he must either be in pain or scared as all hell. Then I hear something that sent chills up my spine. The lady at the front desk knew we were there to pick him up. Waiting downstairs, we hear an aggressive shush. It took a few minutes for her to get him down, as she was dropping another dog off upstairs and we heard the shush several more times! How do you shush a 5kg pup who is obviously scared, rather than treat him with reassurance, love and kindness? It was at this point that I demanded they bring my dog immediately. When she brought him down, speaking over-the-top love words to him, as if she didn't just shush the crap out of him a second ago, I could tell by his body language he was very scared. Soon, the lady at the reception also looked scared, when we questioned the circumstances he was in before she brought him. "Do you put them in kennels while they wait to be picked up?" I asked. With widened eyes, similar to someone who was just caught, "No! I was only trying to put his leash back on" she replied defensively. My wife expressed her concern - that we heard him crying and screaming but she said that he did cry and that he was just fine. My wife and I both very clearly recognized my dog’s voice so we knew that her answer was a blatant lie. We quickly paid and got out. Imagine someone aggressively shushing a fearful dog at a facilty that is supposed to have trained staff! It makes you wonder what happens when no one is waiting downstairs for their dog. My dog has been getting grooming done for four years at various places. This is the only groomer that he has reacted to like this. Like most dogs, he doesn't enjoy grooming, but it's all out terror when we even walk by this place. After the last few sessions, he comes home and velcros to me and my partner for the rest of the day. He's hyper-reactive to anything scary, lethargic and refuses to eat for the rest of the day. Is it a coincidence? Maybe. Make what you will of my experience, but I would say, without a question -- do not leave your dog at this facility. Not unless they allow you to walk up the long flight of stairs and watch them as they groom him. I will never again trust a groomer that won't let me be privy to the process.
We can't say enough good things about Dog World. Our dog has been going here for 1.5 years. The staff are amazing - they take such great care of the dogs and ensure they are safe and taken care of all day. Highly recommend Dog World to anyone who is looking for a professional, safe and reliable doggy daycare.
Dog Spa & World has been amazing for my dog Sparky! Every visit, he is treated with so much care and kindness. The staff are patient, professional, and you can tell they truly love animals. Sparky always comes back looking clean, well-groomed, and most importantly, happy and relaxed. The place is safe, spotless, and welcoming — which makes me feel completely at ease leaving Sparky in their care. I really appreciate how they pay attention to the small details and make sure he’s comfortable throughout the whole process. It’s rare to find a place that balances skill with genuine love for pets, but Dog Spa & World does it perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone who wants their dog pampered and cared for the right way! ??
This is one of my dog’s favourite places! We can’t walk by without him pulling to go in. He adores the staff and playing with the other dogs, and I know they take amazing care of him.
Dog World Resort & Spa really is a wonderful place. My favourite part about bringing in my puppy for daycare is the socialization he gets. Not only is Fergus happy to go to Dog World, but he also greets staff and his furry pals in the park and in our local neighborhood. When your dog is happy to see his daycare attendant waiting for transit, you know the space is full of love. Every time you visit, its obvious the staff genuinely want to be there and are ready to greet your pet with open arms. Check out the adorable report card folder they give you when you get started to store your pets progress reports. I haven’t found anything this adorable.
