Our just turned 12 year old Standard Schnauzer was brought to Mellow Vibes due to severe anxiety and aggression towards children which worsened as he aged, along with some reactivity towards other dogs and scooters. Out of concern for our grandchildren we knew something had to be done. Mellow Vibes transformed him into a calm and friendly dog among children/infants, scooters and other dogs, we are forever grateful!
Mellow Vibes truly worked magic on our stubborn 2-month-old Goldendoodle! As first-time puppy parents, we were overwhelmed and thought training would be easier — until we met Paul and his wonderful family. They’re so kind, patient, and genuinely love what they do. Our pup now listens, follows commands, and behaves so well. We feel completely confident leaving her with them whenever we travel. Our dog Rocky is a golden doodle. He is six turning seven and I took him to Paul as a last resort. I started thinking that I would have to rehome him. He was never an aggressive dog, he just wasn’t always very obedient. He just stopped listening to me and I couldn’t walk him anymore and he started counter surfing and just not gelling with my family. After spending four weeks with Paul and his family, we have a brand new improved dog. He came back with his same silly personality, but he now respects me and our daughter. We are able to walk him without him lunging at other dogs/bikes/humans. He doesn’t bark when we leave the house. People can enter our house without him, jumping all over them. He now gives us the ball when playing. I can’t think Paul and the team enough. We still have work to do within our house and reminding Rocky who is boss. But now my daughter can walk him. I can walk him and I really enjoy being with him all of the time. With a few tweaks from Paul, we now have the dog we’ve always wanted. Thank you.
I highly recommend mellow vibes! I got Zuko my Rottweiler boxer mix when he was really young when he was 4 months old and all updated with shots I started socializing him with all types of dogs, he was a little shy in the beginning but then he’d get comfortable. I thought I did my job and Zuko was gonna be the best around dogs and the same with human interaction, but later on when he was around 8 months he started switching sides, he was totally okay with his dog friends he made when he was a pup and my friends and family but any new coming had no chance, he would start to get really protective in my lobby/car or if someone would come up and talk to me on the street, dogs on walks was a nightmare and god forbid someone knocked on my door. It was getting out of hand he hasn’t attack a dog or a human but I wasn’t going to wait till that happen. I had a family dog that was having some training troubles and we wanted to go to Mellow Vibes as my dad heard AMAZING things about them, unfortunately my family dog passed away due to medical issues so we did not need the service anymore. Once I found myself in similar situation with zuko I thought there was no harm in reaching out, I explained my issues in a email and Daneil got right back to me right away, we set up a phone call to talk more details about my situation. Right off the bat he really seem like he cared about Zukos struggles and he wanted to help. We set up an in person consultation when I was able to bring Zuko and Daneil was able to listen to me more about my issues with my dog. I was already so amazed with everything i was ready to send Zuko off! During Zukos stay Daneil was constantly updating me with messages pictures and videos. If my dog isn’t having a good time you will see in on his face but Zuko was in high spirits smiling and playing with other dogs cuddling with people he was having the time of his life! I also noticed the amount of respect and love Zuko had for him, it really showed my dog was in good hands! When I came to pick up my Zuko I was so happy with the results I could already see how respectful my dog was, Daneil showed me videos of my dog doing things I would never imagine, I was honestly so proud, Daneil did not leave anything out while explaining to me what my next steps are to keep Zuko in line, he really made sure I understood everything he really took his time! I could really see how much Zuko meant to him which was really nice. I’m Zuko came home a different dog.. the first night I went in the elevator with a male stranger, the guy went to say hi to Zuko I got nervous right away but my Zuko went to give the guy kisses and it brought tears to my eyes, Now Zuko is respectful around humans and dogs. Daniel has also helped build up my relationship with my dog now they is so much respect and that honestly goes such a long way, I am forever grateful and thankful for not only teaching Zuko but also teaching me.
I took my dog semi-reluctantly to Mellow Vibes Training (nobody wants to leave their dog with a stranger) but I had tried everything to stop his on-leash aggression with other dogs on leash. I paid the big bucks for one-on-one training with other reputable training places but nothing would work. After lots of research and talks with vets, I decided to meet Daniel at Mellow Vibes. He’s a very friendly & funny guy who made me feel at ease right away. After the initial meeting with lots of questions & getting details, I knew my dog would benefit by training with him. I was right! My dog came back the same happy goofy boy but trained in a way I could never manage. We now go on long walks & don’t run across the street to avoid other dogs. There’s a lot for me to do to keep up his training but it’s fun because I get to do it with my dog. Daniel has kept in touch with me often & is always there when I have questions. Mellow vibes dog training is the best dog training service out there! My husband and I had previously tried sending our dog to a different dog training service and it did not work. Our dog was terrible on walks, unfortunately had bit a few people, and overall did not listen to us at all. We tried mellow vibes and loved our first consult. Paul and Daniel are both super sweet and so knowledgeable about dogs. Our puppy was taken for 7 weeks of training and no joke, within the first 3 days we had piper back at home she was a completely different dog. Of course we knew that it takes a ton of work to maintain all the progress that Paul had done with piper - but Paul gave us amazing tools and strategies that help us live an easy day to day life with piper. All the tools Paul gave us (and continues to give us) really really do work and we have a dog that actually respects us and listens to us now (but you still have to keep up with the training Paul tells you about!!) He explains that alot of the training is actually on the humans part and he works with you for however long it takes to make sure you have the correct corrections to preform on your dog at home. Mellow vibes even follows up with you everyday to ask how your dog is doing once they’ve been sent home. (And also for any crazy, anxious dog moms out there I texted Paul asking for pictures all the time and he always followed through and sent me pictures of my baby!) I cannot express how happy we are/have been with mellow vibes and can’t express how fabulous they are. This service really really works! You will not be disappointed I can promise that! Like many reviewers here, I am very grateful to Boysie and and the Mellow Vibes family for training our dog and equipping is to carry the training forward. My 11 and 14 year old daughter’s can now control the dog and walk him single-handledly. It used to be a 2 person job because he was such a puller. Anyway, we all learned a lot, and are now enjoying our playtime and down time with our dog.
