This is a great store with a lot of selection but they are not actually open on Sundays!! I had an emergency and couldn't go any other day and sort of played myself because I thought I could come here. Great store NOT open on Sundays I was there quarter past 11 and it was completely locked up. No response on the phone either.
Definitely not affordable. I went in to purchase a piece of satin ribbon (not more than 60 cm) long and thinking that it would be not more than a couple dollars since a whole roll on online would cost $2 - $4 dollars. There's no prices listed and the merchant charged $6. This means they charge at least $9 a yard for ribbon which isn't at all affordable. I was shocked and it was my mistake for not asking. When i read the reviews, it looks like they up charge anyone who is not a regular customer by significant factor. Buyer beware ... Next time i would go to michaels where everything is standardized and there are no hidden prices .I wanted to support small local shops on queen st since i know rent prices are high but when i found out by other reviews, that i wasn't the first one duped, it left an unpleasant experience being scammed.
Came here to say how amazing affordable textiles is. My father and I have been coming for years. And will always continue to send everyone here. I’ve literally grown up shopping here. And I’m so happy it’s still operating as well as it did from the day I started coming here
Great staff, gorgeous textiles. Located in a great district, the legacy 'Fashion District' of Toronto. Recently completed seat cushions for dining room chairs, very beautiful linen with embroidered flowers. (Quality control cat in background.)
Fabrics are dirty and discoloured. Owner will stretch fabric while measuring instead of laying it flat. Prices vary depending on who you ask. Nothing is labeled.
The gentleman who helped me was able to find all the different fabrics that I needed for my project. He even got me to think outside the box when I wasn't finding the right color to match the picture on my phone.
Double checked google for their hours before leaving my place 45 -50 minutes away to head downtown to queen st for 930am as that’s when this place opens... arrived on time and paid for parking... Its 10:43 and ..still not open!!!!! There goes my morning. The sign on the door and google clearly state 930am. How annoying.
