On December 8th, 2025, right before the store closed, I bought a falafel plate and asked for hot sauce. The server put a tiny splash on the side of the container as if it would magically mix itself with the falafel and rice. That's not how you serve sauce, you out it all over the food not tiny bit of it in side of the container that's stingyOn top of that, he acted hostile when I simply asked for an extra scoop of rice. I asked because I had been fasting most of the day and hadn’t eaten, and from where I was standing the portion looked small. Now I know this restaurant is stingy with portions. He also seemed in a rush to close up, because he didn’t even ask if I wanted tahini, hot sauce, or any other condiments that normally come with the meal. Maybe he had a bad or stressful day, but still — it’s best to show good character and basic customer service, at least a smile. Instead, he just seemed irritated and ready to shut down. The food isn’t bad — at least the falafel plates — and the portions are average at best. But the customer service needs improvement. Honestly, it’s better to go to Pita Land at Gerrard and Jarvis, about a 7-minute walk from this Pita Lite. They have better customer service, aren’t stingy, and give good portions. This place is only decent because it’s slightly cheaper than most shawarma spots in the area, but Pita Land is better quality in my opinion.
If you’re looking for protein and carbs at a fair price, this place has it. It wouldn’t be my go to spot if I was looking to treat myself. The chicken is a little dry, so I do think they should give more sauce. Solid if you’re looking for lunch in a pinch.
It looks clean and the service is nice which is great but uh… do they cook their potatoes with chicken instant noodle seasoning? (And the really cheap kind like no name or some other off brand bc it actually tastes gross…)
I order from these guys all the time during my shift on break. Chicken on the rice, and chicken shawarma poutine alternating depending on the mood. The food is excellent, made fresh and with care. Lovely gentlemen greeting me routinely when i come by.
Amazing halal food. I loved the chicken shawarma on the rice special with extra chilies, hot sauce and tabule. The chef cooked the food just right. I highly recommend this location.
Purchased a meal for pick up on their website only to realize it is on a promotional offer and priced cheaper at the store. The server says it’s an in-store offer which is not true the website doesn’t reflect the fair price.
I had a fantastic experience at Pita Light! The cleanliness of the restaurant is top-notch, which really adds to the overall dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend everyone give it a try. I also want to mention Sagar, one of the best employees there. He treats everyone with respect and serves them exceptionally well. If you're looking for a great meal in a clean environment, Pita Light is the place to go!
