I had a great experience at Pampangueña on Wilson Street! The food tasted authentically Filipino, especially the classics—rich flavors, generous portions, and that comforting home-style taste. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service felt very personal. The place can get a bit busy at times, but the overall atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re craving real Filipino dishes in Toronto. I’ll happily come back to try more from their menu!
One of the best filipino restaurants hands down. Usually my go to. The place is clean, the atmosphere is calming, service is real good. The served portions are not stingy and the prices are well thought. Definitely should try checking out if you're craving filipino meals.
I tried Halo-Halo for the first time at Pampangueña Restaurant, and it was such a delightful experience! The combination of flavors, textures, and colors was absolutely perfect, sweet, creamy, and super refreshing.
Of all the Filipino restaurants in the area, this one takes the cake in the worst customer service. Food is typical of Filipino cuisine - oily and cold. Nothing memorable. If you're craving Filipino food, this is an ok option, but not the only one. FYI - Owners are also big Trump/Conservative fans and the lack of empathy shows through its cooking
Catering order was delicious for a large birthday party. Everyone loved the authentic, tasty and good quality food. They especially were fans of the BBQ chicken and garlic fried rice. There were a couple hurdles with the communication of the order, but ultimately we were very happy with the order and will order again and recommend!
Update: Updated my review, service was not that good and kind of rude, the person we talk to, the cashier. Initially I did not like them asking for payments before hand, unlike other Filipino restaurants(Tinuno or Lakay or Casa Manila) or even non-Filipino restaurants but I let it go wanted to try the food, which was great the first time. Now this Christmas Eve day, they ask for full payment LOL. This will be the last time we would be ordering from them. Service was not consistent in 3 times we tried with them. We tried the pansit the 2nd time, it was not good but the Dinakdakan was still good. The Karekare was meh the 2nd time but was good the first, that is why we did not order this time around. Hopefully this last and 3rd time, the food will be at least good to compensate the bad experience.Oh well. Great food and more important it tastes like the food in the Philippines. I think they have the best sisig in Toronto, for sure. The other ones here does not even taste and look like an authentic sisig. We got Kare-Kare as well and it tasted good as well, as well as the Lechon Kawali. Their lumpia was good as well. The service was friendly and even helped out to bring our bought goods to our car. Definitely our go to Filipino restaurant now, in terms of food trays!
I found this place looking and craving for Filipino food that taste like back home, similar to my family’s cooking. Let’s just say it did not disappoint that even my husband was impressed by the flavour and taste of the food we got. This influenced us to buy large trays of lumpia and pancit for my son’s Baptism and again was impressed by the flavour and taste! Everyone loved it. They did not cut us short on the size and filling of their lumpia either! I would like to say to the establishment thank you for bringing the taste of home here to Canada!
