First time trying this Filo spot & we've never been happier with the food we've got! Items ordered: • beef bulalo - the portion was huge! Took me & my husband 4 meals to finish what we ordered. The beef could've used a bit more time so it's more tender. • beef Kare Kare - delicious, but they forgot to gimme the shrimp paste. (Luckily, I've got a whole bottle at home.) • deep fried crispy fish - super crunchy and perfect with some tomatoes & vinegar! Wish they gave us a bit more, I felt that the portion was a little bit tiny. • special hot food ($10) - came with fried rice & pork BBQ skewer. Skewer was good, rice was a bit bland. Overall, great selection of dishes, reasonably priced (total price paid, including taxes, was $57! If this was another Filo store, this could've easily been at least $70 + taxes) & well-packaged. Service was great; staff communicated the wait time for the bulalo, as they cook it fresh per order.) Will definitely come back & try the other dishes.
This is a GEM of a place! The vibe is cozy, comfy, and bright, with a collection of the sweetest staff members who are earnestly doing their best to make sure you've got everything you need. But the food!! I'm not sure if it's a troop of grandmas or elite chefs in the back, because the food is just bursting with flavor, punching each and every tastebud as it lands! I went for an event a couple of weeks ago and came back with my whole family today. The portions are generous, the dishes true comfort food, and I am already thinking of what to order the next time I go. Wholeheartedly recommend it to all! ❤️
Hands down one of the best Filipino places for takeout or dine in. I’ve done both and was not disappointed. Stopped in tonight for some lumpia and bbq pork sticks with my partner and was blown away! The girl who helped us was super sweet and really helpful, and very honest, didn’t try to oversell but girl, give me that lumpia! It was delicious and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more food because everything looks amazing. Love the food. Love the vibe. Customer service is on point which is so rare. You have to check this place out!
Nice variety of ready-to-eat Filipino foods, including fried and grilled meats. Stewed dish had tender meat with additional condiment given in a plastic cup. Small seating area at the front with a grocery section in the back.
I am fish lover and I find it’s difficult to find a good fish dish near here. I go to Tagpuan because their menu has a wide range of fish. The taste is good. They put herbs (onion, ginger, tomato… ) into fish belly and grill it. I order grill Pompano. I like that they didnt make it salty or spicy. The herbs did a great job in flavor and I don’t taste fishy. They have sauce and chili in the table, I can add it myself. The food taste good. My pictures cannot say it enough. The atmosphere feel welcoming anf cosy.
I love when a Filipino restaurant serves more than just the popular foods, you know? They are out here serving laing, dinuguan, mechado, and the other classics that we Filipino kids grew up eating. And also, shoutout to them being supportive of Palestine because as Filipinos we know what colonialism and imperialism does to a people. Anyway, mabuhay! That's Tagalog for 'slay'
This place is lovely. Everything we ate tasted authentic, portion sizes were big and it was great value for money. The service was kind and attentive. We'll definitely be coming back. Don't miss it
