Self serve/manual car wash is cheap but pretty horrible experience. There was puddle of water in the bay I wasted my car and I had to step in to move across the car. There is only ‘soap’ (which could be anything) and high pressure water to basically wet your car. Other options such as tire foam didn’t dispense anything other than water.
Do not patronize this car wash which is managed by neglect. The drive-thru does a terrible job. (Go to St. Clair and Runnymede for a much better wash from an older system.) The coin wash is a disgusting mess with garbage everywhere. Card-tap payment usually doesn’t work, coin payment the same. It’s a real shame to see that Jacinto’s name is still associated with it. When it was actually under Jacinto’s management, it was a functional and well-maintained operation. The current management doesn’t invest the manpower and upkeep to keep it that way, and sees fit to run it on the cheap.
This shell station has terrible service. In the shell application, it shows that it is open for Car Wash. I go there and while I am waiting at the entrance of the wash, the shell app appears closed. This happened 3 times, you're stealing my time and my gas to get there. I do not have such a problem in other shell stations and they all have a standard time that they open and close or are open 24 hours a day. However, this store is most likely because it has a shell car wash and its own coin car wash! I will report you to Shell. I will tell everyone around me to give bad ratings because you think you are cunning and people are stupid.
The service is good however, it is heartbreaking to see all of the garbage on this property, seemingly tossed out of people's cars prior to them entering the car wash. Pretty rude of the customers. Come on people! We can do better.
I purchased a car was back in December and the salesperson upsold me a second car wash at a slightly discounted price. They did not mention that the second wash would expire within a couple of months so on May 2 when I went to use it, it was no good. When I talked to the manager he said I should have checked the receipt and there was nothing they could do. I said it was never mentioned to me that there was an expiry date when I bought the car wash. I've been going to this gas station for years but I will never go back. They were rude, unapologetic and did not attempt to rectify the situation. Go to the Pump or Ultramar on the same strip. They are usually both cheaper. Shame on you Shell.
The gas station itself is fine. Do yourself a favour and do NOT spend your money on a car wash here. It is very slow (if there is more than one vehicle waiting in line, you're in for a lot of foot tapping) and more importantly, it does a very poor job of actually cleaning your vehicle. This could be the overall quality of the wash equipment or a result of poor maintenance. In short, there are much better car wash options not too far away. It's worth the effort.
Update -3 years later, didn't take long for this bathroom to go ratsh1t in terms of cleaning and maintenance ... This looks like a pretty new gas station that has an exterior side washroom where the attendant has to buzz you in. Efficient and clean
