Fine ice cream but unclear pricing… cones said 1-2 flavours (200g) for 7.59, they did not tell us there was a $2 extra charge for a second flavour until after I was at the cash register ready to pay… there was nothing on the menuboard about this… It felt scammy unfortunately and I won’t be going back.
Super nice employees here, a girl recommended me biscoff flavor and kiwi flavor, SOOOOOO GOOOOD! 1000% to recommend this place!! The price is fair and here comes a hided gem at the back?
Super awesome 9.5/10 jasmine green tea Really rich tea flavour and the jasmine was detectable, paired great with the rich creaminess of the ice cream to be like intensely creamy but refreshing Also sampled pistachio which was also very nutty and rich but a bit too sweet for me Having said that this flavour could be considered not sweet enough (I'm like 50% sugar person in drinks) Only docking points because it felt a little melted/too soft to me but I think that's just how it is Overall would def recommend this place they have some neat and well done flavours that I think might rotate? Menu/reviews mentioned an osmanthus flavour which I'd love to try but they didn't have it when I went
O my goodness! What a sweet treat for me and my bestie looking for delicious asian inspired ice cream in downtown toronto. We got the flavors jasmine green tea and pandan and it tasted just like home (me and my friend are straight from asia). The flavors were good, the texture was delish, and the portion was pretty good. We kept on switching cups and it tasted like trying it for the first time! Totally recommend and can’t wait to try some of the other flavors.
Underrated gelato, you can really taste the real fruits they use and also how creamy the dairy flavours are. Nothing is overly sweet so it’s perfect for the Asian palate.
This shop seem new and the ice cream was tasty and the workers were friendly and welcoming. One suggestion is not to embarrass the employees in front of the customers even when they make a mistake. Better to address any issue with the customer a model professional communication as a manager discretely. It came across as a bit harsh for an honest mistake.
- Update 2025: Wow, the store has had quite a revamp! What was once a sit down spot has now transformed into a takeout gelato shop. The new addition of boozy gelato options is a fun touch, the espresso martini flavour is definitely a must try. Just make sure to bring your ID! They've also significantly reduced the menu size, and good riddance, gone are the milkshakes. I mentioned in my previous review how disappointing they were, watery and lackluster for the price. Honestly, if you can’t beat a fast food chain milkshake like McDonald's, it’s better to either improve the product or remove it from the menu entirely. A few of my favourite flavours are also missing, like osmanthus (which I really loved) and coconut sea salt (which my partner adored). Hopefully, these will come back in rotation soon. That said, I’m still hoping they never bring back the "Rice" flavour that was definitely an abomination. One thing I do love is the option to take home pints of any two flavours. Overall, I’m a fan of the new look and the take home pint option. No more milkshakes and the boozy gelato flavours are fantastic. Still a solid gelato spot downtown! - - Update: Avoid the milkshake it's definitely not their best product. It’s essentially a watered down "milkshake" served in a soda can that looks to be about 355ml or less. It’s a neat concept, but the price and portion size don’t match the quality. The milkshake isn’t thick, and the small volume definitely doesn’t measure up to something like a McDonald's milkshake. If you can’t beat a fast food chain’s milkshake, the folks behind Pidapipo really need to rethink this product. Stick with their Gelato, it's still top notch. But the milkshake could use some serious revamping.. - I praise the new gelato spot Pidapipo with their homemade creamy gelato texture, perfect sweet level, reasonable prices and attractive flavours and their friendly service. They were patient even I struggled between flavours and allowed two samples Reasonably priced as you can pick up to 2 flavours for a large size cup of gelato at $7.63 with tax!. That is unheard of in downtown Toronto especially in this economy. Most importantly, their gelato scoop is on the larger side compared to other spots and I love how they weight each cup on a scale. The flavours I tried so far: *Jasmine greentea My personal favourite flavour from here, great taste and aroma from the Jasmine and the extra touch you can see real jasmine petal and tea leaves in the gelato. *Coconut seasalt This gelato was interesting that has a blue colour. It was very refreshing and have a nice hint of salty coconut taste in the end that isn't overpowering, would go well in summer! Will 100% get this again. *Pistachio The pistachio gelato here was absolutely irresistible. Its richness, creaminess, and nuttiness were truly exceptional, while I could also savor small bits of chopped pistachios with every spoonful. The pistachio flavour was not overly sweet and not artificial with a satisfying crunch. I’ll definitely order it again. *Peach oolong Decent gelato flavour, it was more peach as I couldn't taste much of the oolong, might have been too much flavoring with the peach. *Osmanthus Lite sweet with all the great Osmanthus flavour, like the Jasmine green tea flavour you can see the Osmanthus petal in the gelato. A must get flavour
