I was waiting to come here since a long time and I was not at all disappointed with the food that I ordered except for the desert that was too sweet my tooth but overall vibes good and ambiance too.
Very pleasant place! Was thinking of visiting many times. As my friend from US was in the city this weekend it was a perfect occasion. We tried Curryish version of samosas- stuffed with dal and paneer and were super delicious, for the main we went for the lamb curry and variety of breads such as paratha and roti, breads were super tasty too and also Curryish style. I loved the meal, we were not very hungry if you are go for two mains or two extra apps. These all artistically presented and cooked with the moreen twist. I loved fabric napkins too. For the desert we had ... do not remember the name:))) But will present the picture. It was a great food and great experience. Thank you, Curryish!
We always love our time at Curryish. It’s a must for everyone who loves outstanding service, food and drinks. My husband had the tasting menu with beer pairings and I ordered my favourites a la carte which were delicious. Chef Miheer and his staff are truly exceptional!
A good concept thats not well executed The food: Tuna pani puri - good flavor but couldn’t taste the tuna. Masala wings - definitely not “hakka” tasted like honey garlic with some spices. The chicken had a flavor of old frozen chicken The samosa - great crisp and well filled. However the filling was mushy and didn’t taste the cheese curds Garlic roomali roti - bland and no flavor Stuffed paneer - the gravy lacked flavor and only tasted of masala and whatever thicker they used. The masala in the paneer tasted raw. Peach shrikhand - loved the shrikhand however as a dish it was too heavy. The Drinks: Mango lassi - can’t go wrong and was good Nimbu pani margarita - not a margarita and tasted slightly bitter. Chai martini - pretty good The service - our server was pretty good. Good attention to detail. Atmosphere - really warm inside
We did the Blue Moon and Pepper experience. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish is well thought out as the heat rises in each dish until you try the lamb stuffed scotch bonnet. Though this is not their regular menu if this is what to expect from this restaurant we will definitely be back to try the regular menu. We loved everything. My husband tried the vegan menu and I the regular menu we ended up sharing everything because we couldn’t decide what was better. The beer Blue moon with a slice of orange dipped in cinnamon was the perfect complement to each dish. What a great experience. The staff and chefs were friendly and attentive. We ask if the patio is dog friendly and it is we will definitely be back on both accounts.
We walked by the sign on the street stating that it was happy hour and decided to give this place a go. We were seated around 5PM by the host (the owner) and given a menu, given the happy hour discount we ordered a cocktail each and proceeded to have an enjoyable meal, ordering another cocktail before 6PM. The waitress that served us was great. Upon paying our bill $200+ (for 2 of us), we noticed that our cocktails were charged at 19$ instead of the 12$ advertised. When we asked the waitress about this, she mentioned that there was a separate menu for the happy hour(which we weren't given when we entered). We asked to speak with the owner to pass on the feedback. He got very defensive and stated that it was our duty as customers to ask for the happy hour menu, which I still can't wrap my head around. His attitude dealing with this frank feedback was terrible. It cost my friend and I $14 each on a $120+ bill, which is ~10% of our bill, however, this experience cost him our future business. Why wouldn't a restauranteur take some potentially useful feedback from customers that actually enjoyed their food to ensure repeat business?
We tried the date night set menu (collab with @Tianajayatunga on instagram) and the food was DELICIOUSSS!! With every plate (and there were many of them) we got a glimpse of how talented the chef and his team are! Our favorites were the Dal Makhani with wilted kale and the sweet potato with pear chaat. The milk steamed rice was also great. Would highly recommend the coconut mango lassi!!! Overall, a great restaurant with great service! 10/10
