This place is my new go to for lunch take out near Union If you are looking for a good authentic Korean spot, this place definitely will hit the spot! I got the spicy pork which had a generous serving of pork in a nice sweet and spicy gochujang based sauce which paired perfectly with their purple rice and kimchi. Also the lady working the counter was super friendly in answering any questions I had about the food too! 10/10 would recommend
Just tried this place for the first time and the food was delicious. I ordered the fish katsu, and the portion was good for my large appetite. The fish was fried well and not too oily. It was light and the sauce on it stood out. The sides it came with were also tasty. I also got to chat and get to know the owner who moved to Canada over 35 years ago. She was kind while telling me her story. Will be back to visit Mama Lee again for sure!
First came here three years ago, right after we moved to Toronto, and this little Korean spot instantly felt like home. (Disclosure: we’re not Korean—but good East Asian food has a way of bridging that distance.) Our go-tos are the glass noodles, bibimbap, and fried rice cakes—each one authentic, flavorful, and comforting. The glass noodles are never soggy, always perfectly seasoned; the bibimbap is a wholesome mix of veggies, protein, and multigrain rice that leaves you feeling satisfied, not heavy. The space is tiny, with only 3–4 seats, so sometimes we dine in if luck’s on our side. Prices are fair (way better than your average food court meal), no tipping required, and the taste keeps us coming back.
Mama Lee’s was a good place to stop by to pick up lunch. The workers were polite and welcoming. The food was prepared quickly and they have a good selection of drinks. I would recommend.
This was my go to food for my meals during my 2 weeks in toronto especially when I find myself missing asian food. I had the bibimbap and the black bean noodle which were all very delicious and decently priced. Its authentic to me and even better than some of the korean eateries back home in singapore. I liked that they had purple rice which made it seem healthier. Highly recommend this small humble shoop for a good korean meal
This little Korean restaurant is a hidden gem .the food is absolutely delicious, and I love coming here! The only downside is that the inside is really small, with just a few seats. It would be amazing if they could add some outdoor tables in the summer, especially since there’s space outside like the other restaurants nearby. The food definitely deserves a proper spot to sit and enjoy it!
I ordered the tteukboki and fried chicken. For the tteukboki I also add on cheese and it was an extra charge for it. This is more of a takeout spot and I’ve notice they take food orders like ritual or Uber eats. The service was pretty slow in my opinion and took over 15 minutes to get ready. The tteukboki was not bad, it tasted good but I felt like the price was too much for what it was. The fried chicken was decent but I felt like the portion is so small. Overall, if you want Korean food there’s plenty of options over at Korea town (christie/Bathurst).
