EDIT 2: I've since been able to get in contact with the marketing department who has graciously extended a price adjustment. I've also been informed they are in the process of amending the policy to be more relaxed. Much more satisfied now. They have a very strict price adjustment policy. I had ordered a lamp last week which has yet to ship. The lamp is now on sale and they will not adjust the price. While I understand these terms are clear on the site, I suggest taking your business to other small local business who carry the same brands. Even DWR/Herman Miller graciously adjust prices for newly marked down items. EDIT 1: Their website is a nightmare to navigate. Login doesn't work on some browsers. The contract doesn't even work on chrome
We had a greet experience from the moment we were greeted when we entered the store, to the consultation to choose lighting, the delivery and the quality of the products we received. Ryan was very knowledgeable and helped us find lighting that suited our space, style and budget. We are repeat customers and would definitely return for quality, stylish products.
With several years of experience in the lighting industry, I can confidently say that LightForm offers one of the most complete collections of top global brands. It’s a great place to see a wide range of options side by side and make well-informed choices. I truly believe lighting is the soul of any interior space and should be taken seriously — and this showroom reflects that perfectly. The layout is excellent and very professionally curated.
The (very expensive) lighting system I ordered from Lightform was a complete nightmare. (Lightform was one of four lighting companies we used during our renovations). Completely wrong, from the colour, wrong specs, incompatible, (EU vs North American Standards, they sent the wrong heads) and defective. Each time we (my contractor, with electricians), installed, uninstalled, replaced Lightform’s product. At my cost. (I returned over $7K of product). They have assumed no responsibility, the problems existed for over a year and a half, to get the lighting system to work properly. I wish I had looked at this company’s many other negative reviews before choosing them.
We went to this place to look at some lightning we needed for our house. We couldn’t get anyone to help us on the floor and the person I asked on the customer service desk just told us any information we need were on the website and went back to whatever she was working on. I also inquired about a lamp to find out the change in pricing after a day I saw it in the website and asked if they would honour the pricing. They even asked me to send a proof of this change in pricing and after sending a screen capture, all I received was a canned response. I sent a follow-up email but has not received any response. We eventually decided to go with other lighting stores that carry the same brands. This place does not deserve any of our time and money.
I had great experience working with customer service on two seperate purchases which worked out just fine from my end. The products I purchase were good quality and every time I contacted coustomer service they looked after my needs. Thanks. Mary.
Update: Since posting this review, the president of the company personally reached out. He was extremely apologetic and was able to resolve the issue immediately. I ordered a Blu Dot lamp from LightForm that arrived in August. The lamp itself is beautiful, but the customer service (or lack thereof) I have received is abominable. I was mistakenly billed by FedEx for import fees, and was reassured on August 24 by Jackson Sawatzky that I should not pay this and it will "be rebilled to us and will take care of it asap." I followed up three times since August but continued to receive payment notices from FedEx that the bill was not paid. Today I received a demand for payment from a debt collection agency, which undoubtedly will impact my credit score and will be a pain to deal with. Absolutely terrible experience.
