I had the absolute pleasure of joining in on my first ever Reformer class at Nice Day and am still thinking about it. From the moment you enter the space, you feel equally at ease and in awe. I have never been in a place quite like this - welcoming yet otherworldly (in the best way). The instructor accommodated my beginner status graciously, making sure to give me additional help when needed without leaving me feeling singled out. For those looking for a place to connect to your body, delight your eyes and nourish your soul - this is it.
Mediocre pilates class experience - the instructor was in jeans which was unprofessional. The drop in class I paid for was $45 which was on the pricer side compared to other studios in the city that average around $30 - $35. I expected better for something I paid more than average for. The space was unique - very clean. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend.
I bounce around Toronto studies and was looking forward to trying this out since it opened in its new location. To be honest, I really wasn’t sure if I would like it upon my arrival. I didn’t love that there was no reception and I had arrived 20 min before class and had to wait in a stairwell (it’s possible I missed an email with details that the studio door is locked until 10 min before class starts and to state there’s no outside waiting area). Anyway, the studio is huge and is definitely a vibe. The equipment is high quality and the instructor was very likeable and detailed, even coming by to adjust my springs for me knowing I had an injury. This was by far the best of “classical” reformer I have experienced in the city. It had challenging moments but also felt therapeutic at times. I would definitely recommend checking this space out.
I have had positive experience with the space and don’t feel great about leaving this bad review. But my recent experience has been quite infuriating to the point where I would like to get a refund for my subscription and to never set foot in the studio again. I booked a workout for the same day and within an hour of booking had an urgent family matter come up. I had no option to cancel online, tried calling through the day with no reply after 5 attempts. Left a voicemail which was not returned. Finally decided to try to go to an earlier class without booking it to avoid being charged twice and was denied entrance “for safety reasons”. Needless to say, I am less than satisfied by this interaction and would love to never return if only I could get a refund on my subscription.
Nice Day Pilates is such an inviting space and which has gotten me to be a consistent exerciser. All the instructors seem to enjoy their craft which creates a great experience as a patron. Shout out to Jenn the owner - a perfect place to practice
